No ND, No CFP, No ____, It's Virginia Talk

Last time they were here, I could have sworn the PA announcer at Hard Rock called their kick returner "Lemonade Jones". Reminded me of that Key and Peele skit.

Tough team. They are healthy. Beat Boise State. Very physical. Should not be taken lightly. They will be ready.

Aren't they missing both tackles?

from one of their sites. And L'ville's defense is terrible.

Virginia has made several changes to its depth chart ahead of Saturday’s game at No. 2 Miami.

The changes come on the offensive line, which struggled to protect quarterback Kurt Benkert in Saturday’s loss to Louisville, surrendering four sacks and countless pressures.

Jack English has replaced Dillon Reinkensmeyer in the starting lineup at left tackle. Reinkensmeyer, who was previously the starting center is now only listed as English’s backup at left tackle.

Ben Knutson replaces John Montelus at left guard.

Jake Fieler remains at center.

The right side of the offensive line remains the same with RJ Proctor at right guard and Brandon Pertile at right tackle.

Not being #2, then hearing talking heads say they still are worried about beating uva and pitt soundly, + there only being a few tickets left makes me think some feel silly for doubting this game 10 minutes into it

The thing that keeps coming to mind with Virginia is the fact they were the last team eliminated from the Coastal race. That tells me they aren't trash. They play tough and won't roll over. We need to play well and stay focused. If any aspect of our play isn't up to par this Saturday, we will struggle. If we play to our potential, we put them away and our backups get needed reps. I'm still waiting to see a backup QB get meaningful reps, because we've got the game easily in hand. This is a perfect time to get Shirreffs in, if we can just get the game in hand early. A) we don't want to risk Rosier getting hurt late in a game we should have in hand, and B) Shirreffs needs some time on the field in case he's needed down the stretch.

Here's hoping we play to our potential and our backups get the reps they need, and starters get the rest they can use going forward.

You are correct. They were the last team to be. There is a good reason why. Schedule. Their 3 conference wins were against 2 bottom.dwellers and GT who1 diminsional and GT scored 32 points against them. They have 2 more Coastal.losses coming

The players may know what's at stake, but this is new territory to them. these things almost always end badly for a 'first-time' team.

I'd expect a UVA game loss

but next year, with Rosier back at the helm -- we take off for real!

i hope this is sarcasm. if not, you need to turn in your man card...

Virginia does not worry me.

My only concern is we’ve played down to the competition anytime we’ve played an inferior team this year. Except for Duke.

That’s just a fact.

Now, many of you were saying that our team has turned the corner, and won’t do that versus Virginia and Pitt. That’s what I hope also.

I just don’t want to see us play down to the competition like we’ve been doing all year.

You know this noon game is sold out right... CMR has brought so much energy back into this program its crazy..

I get the feeling the defense, instead of playing down to teams, is now starting to play up to their own standards. VT and ND showed them what they can do, so hopefully they'll continue to enjoy destroying the opposing offenses the next two weeks, and working for the turnover chain.

Seniors last home game & the cfp disrespect. Those two factors will get us fired up enough to win.

Some of you all still Goldenized. It is understandable. But Richt doesn't lose to these type teams.

Madden Voice: "Well if you uh score more points than the other team then uhh that's how you win the game... Boom."
