No more golden comparisons

Golden is also the only coach recently that went against GOOD FSU teams. Randy got Bobby at the end of his career. Richt got FSU on their way down. Diaz got them at rock bottom. Stop acting like Golden lost to crappy FSU teams, and everyone else beat good ones. The last coach we had that beat a GOOD FSU team was Larry Coker.
Let's not pretend Folden beat a good UF team either. Randy went against the best team in UF history with a busload of true freshmen and was leading early in the 4th quarter.

Randy also lost to that other Florida school. You know the one. USF.

I just think the whole "who sucks more" crap is retarded. Bad coaches were hired because UM is cheap.

No, he was not leading heading into the 4th quarter and never led the whole game.

......It's human nature to focus on the negative ...

It’s human nature for wretched miserable fūcks. Not everyone.

Not for normal, well adjusted human beings, who aren’t pathetic losers bitter at their lot in life.

It’s human nature to realize the limitations of this team, especially the coaches and their lack of performance this year, while at the same time deriving pleasure from one of the few bright spots this year.

But miserable fūcks must constantly remind you of how bad things are, because they are miserable themselves.

At the end of the day it’s a hobby, a pleasure time activity, not an excuse to roll around in negativity, like a pig in shlt.

Good to see you back at it OCCC.

I tend to agree with your assessment about miserable people will be miserable no matter what the circumstance.

Unfortunately, in today's society, the negative (the squeakin' wheel) gets the attention they so much crave.

You obviously didn't watch that game. We were leading 9-7 early in the 4th.

“We” were leading? Are you saying you’re a Croc fan?

Miami’s only score was a 50 yard FG by Bosher. Hard to lead 9-7 when you only score 3 points the whole game.

Edit: just saw that you recognized the mistake. No need to revise history to prop up Randy’s performance. It is what it is.

it was 9-3 then UF ripped it open

im not a manny supporter BUT golden is still the only coach in the last 40 years who never beat FSU lol
Also, Manny got a win over UVA. i think golden had one top 25 win the whole time he was here

Randy Shannon beat a bad FSU team as well.

fsu is so bad that they fired their coach simply bc we beat them so convincingly.

Lets see what Manure finishes the season with, before we declare him in the clear for beating the worst coach i have EVER seen at a major program.

Hate to defend the bum but FSU was a top 10 when AG went against them

It's what you call a dichotomy.

While Folden had many inexplicable losses to teams we had no business losing to, they always came to play for FSU.

Unfortunately, he would also always coach himself out of leads and a possible win against FSU by playing it safe.

I think part of the reason is that in a rivalry game, you can almost throw records and sometimes even talent levels out the window. The games become their own little world.

Also, I give a lot of credit to the players, even with all the craziness around them, they took it upon themselves to leave it on the field against FSU. So yes those games were generally close, sometimes well into the last quarter.

Finally, look at the talent on some of those Folden teams. Some of the Duke Johnson teams. Had several guys in the league. Golden did not have untalented teams...he just squandered the talent.

I thought you were going to tell me not to compare al to willie.

Carry on.

Did you not see where I said I had the wrong game?

Let me settle this for you. They both are atrocious HCs who will never be HCs at this level again.
