No FSU band

Perhaps Mike can put a tape of the warchant in a boom box and hold it up during the game.

Yet another Nole who squats to pee

Look, I'd have a tiny amount of empathy for them if they wouldn't LIE about everything.

First, there ARE NO "terrible seats" in Hard Rock, that's just insane. Upper deck? Sure. Guilty as charged. Again, since Hard Rock reduced the number of seats in the lower bowl with those living room recliner chairs on the "home" side of the field, it's tough to justify giving hundreds of seats to an opponent's marching band, when F$U is one of the few schools that will actually bring a marching band down to Miami.

As for "not performing at halftime", I have no idea whether that is actually true or not. I find it hard to believe that we will have so many "throw the ball through the hoop" halftime activities that we can't find a few minutes for the F$U band.

And when it comes to "throwing beer and food", that's just bullcrap. That kind of thing happens everywhere. Can't tell you how many times I've been targeted with thrown "god-knows-what" at Joke Campbell Stadium.

The house music part...OK...but come on, what OPPOSING BAND is given free rein in any stadium to just play whatever they want whenever they want? I may not love the overall musical entertainment at Hard Rock, but to act as if it is intentional to drown out ONE marching band for ONE game is just a bit too paranoid.

I have no idea why they were allowed to play here in the past. Why should fans have to hear the opponent’s band playing throughout an entire game. I loved it when they moved them as far from the field as possible and then cranked the PA system every time they tried to play the tomahawk song.

FSU PRESS RELEASE
dated: 11/2/2022

After careful consultation with our team, coaches, and faculty, our Student Band Corp will not be traveling to Miami on Saturday. Serious safety concerns were raised by members of both the football staff and the band composers, including but not limited to the structural integrity of Hard Rock Stadium, the quality of food and beverages, and exposure to sunlight. Of these points:

- Our band students and students who happen to be athletes are accustomed to a variable degree of motion when playing or sitting in Doak Campbell Stadium. This is per the vintage iron and wood construction of said stadium, with a high range of swaying. To be placed in a modern facility with current concrete and steel standards would be disorienting and places them at risk of motion sickness.
- Members of FSU are used to the highest quality of horse products, and on special days are served bread. Refreshments are provided through reconditioned rain water collected in the various gutters of Doak. To be served such alternate drinks as Powerade and Gatorade that are loaded with mystery ingredients such as "electrolytes" is potentially dangerous to health, and cannot be trusted
- Our players, fans, and band members are in direct exposure to sunlight, at all times, when playing at Doak. Removal of such vital lighting and heat is deleterious, even though the University of Miami and Hard Rock Stadium promises questionable "benefits" of something called shade. This too is to be avoided
