No changes will be made to the defense

Defense was #14 last season. But the points allowed was way too high. If this team cracks out a top 15 total and scoring defense then I will say to watch out.

Keep in mind that Al Golden manipulated the offense last year to slow down games an protect his defense by running the play clock down to the last few seconds on most of our snaps last year.

Also when you factor in play against FBS only opponents the rankings drop to 21. An in the most important category Miami was ranked 43rd in scoring defense against FBS schools. You can make statistics say almost anything you want.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Praying we somehow decide to be more aggressive.

Golden and Dorito have been teaching and running a 2 gap 3-4 defense since they started coaching.. why would they ever change it 20 years later? Even if they did what makes anyone think that it would be any better if they can't even be successful in their own scheme, let alone a new one that they have never used before.

Because if they get fired they both know that they will be corching high school football in New Jersey next year and for the rest of their lives.

Of course changes have been made. Instead of getting pushed in wearing Nike uniform no it'll happen while wearing Adidas uniform

Changes ppl

Al is waiting on other teams to adjust their offensive schemes to better match up with his defensive scheme. When that happens look out!

He is beyond his time..AG is a fuggin genius!!!!!!!!

You guys know **** well the defense won't change much. Maybe a few new wrinkles, but nothing noteworthy. You don't change up what you've taught for your entire coaching career.

I don't know why you people get caught up in interviews from coaches and players. Golden said he didn't change anything during the 3-game stretch of Cincy, Va Tech, UNC and 1st half of FSU and that team played and looked like a completely different team over that 3 1/2 games. Wait until September and then make your opinions.

Yeah, my eyes must've been messed up because our D sure looked different in that stretch. Much, much different.

Just Play Defense like the first half of FSU....ALL **** SEASON ..

And their shouldn't be an issue... Case closed.

Play like the 2nd half of FSU and well... I'll see you on the Jersey Shore next year..

Pretty Simple actually..

Though i agree its the off season what do you want everyone to talk about, i was at the spring game and we rarely did 2 gap, we had some good pressure, but thats the spring game and you take that with a grain of salt because dem things are scripted

Proves the point.
In the end he went back to what he knows.
Al will always go back to that crap.
Why didn't he stay with it when it worked so well for those three games??

I am sure we will look great against ******* FAU. And then as soon as we get a lead, or get punched in the face by Nebraska, we will go back to our weak *** defensive shell that we have seen for 4 years now. Anyone who expects otherwise is a moron, or worse: they are clg003.

That same adage on insanity can be applied to fans hoping every year that Golden miraculously becomes competent.

Coach Al Golden has turned a new leaf. He is going to attack harder than Andrew Clay Silverstein did in his brief run as a comedian.
