No chance Diaz and Blake are both back

If Diaz wins out he's staying, they are not going to fire a coach whose 8-4 with 2 of those losses coming on fluke plays... They will look at Alabama and Michigan state as the only real losses. Diaz will return on notice next season and go 9-3 after taking in like 7 portal guys
Watch Manny spin the Michigan State loss and say we were right there until things kinda fell off in the fourth but if we were what we are now we could have gotten the win. Watch and see Political Manny work if we win out smfh.

They been trash I told these dudes man....he was all talk always has been. Took advantage of RJ Macintosh and G3 who were good DTs vs a trash ACC...who Alf Golden gifted them. Then they continued to not recruit and I waited cause I know the roster was taking a dip down the road....and bang here it is the ramifications of not recruiting are being shown now.
Any head coach would fire the DC with the numbers this defense has produced this year. It is clear as day that it is his scheme and his poor recruiting at LB.

The trend line for the defense is clear. I will not forget no matter what happens the rest of the season.

Rooster and TVD saved him and they deserve 30% of his check.

And the we played young players so they need time aint gonna work, Manny (just in case you are reading this lol).

If Gino/Zo are in charge of football moving forward, I wonder if that is a positive for Cristobal or if it portends us ending up with someone like Chud. I shudder at the thought, even though I truly welcome the Gino/Zo combo.

it seems like unless it goes off the rails, hire a new AD, hire Mario. if Mario says no, bring back Manny for another year and see what the new AD thinks.
I'm making peace with that prospect, minus the Mario part (not a fan). If the Departmenr is as bad as we believe it's, the new AD could opt to take time to identify and fix the structural issues. Get the money from the booster base flowing, take the time to install a better football supporting staff and when (if?) Manny goes full Manny once again fire him mid season and start the search.

Man it's been a lively Monday...Zo sighting thread, Hall and Jennings gone and the HC and AD fighting in the media.

Its like a bad reality show.
Film noir. All that we need is Humphrey Bogart in a trench coat and a missing gold falcon.

what if he wins the semi final game and goes to the title game? will he actually leave?

and if wins the title? will he leave?

by the way, his sole loss this year is vs Stanford, not a good look until you realize that his OC went down to an illness before the game and they had to improvise on the run.
There's no way he can make that far with his offense.
Imo, the only way it would make sense for him to leave is if Oregon refuses to extend him, then he can come to Miami and get paid

We’d have to make a really good offer and show him we’re serious. And that doesn’t guarantee him coming. I still say 50-50 because things haven’t gotten real yet. Not hiring him three years ago will make this extremely hard.
If not Mario, if he says no, is there any other prominent names that would consider us?

Im the sanest person here. A rational thinker in a seas of knee jerk hot takes and wild conspiracies.

@Hoyacane1620 care to elaborate why you reacted with dumb?
He was asked a direct question by David Lake specifically about the Blake James comments and whether he thought they affected recruiting. Manny didn't volunteer the information- it wasn't a topic he started. And he didn't really elaborate on it. I think reading an ulterior motive in the response is a little much. I wasn't trying to say "dumb", btw, I thought that emojii was a symbol of a question. Like why would you think that.

My understanding is that Blake could be kept on in a fundraising capacity, sort of a lateral promotion, while the Board hires a Director of Football Operations (Highsmith, for example).

I think Manny is gone IF Mario can be enticed to come. If he can't, Manny is here another year with a DC who knows what he is doing.
Lol wonderful.

So we will have a DC that knows what he’s doing, an OC that kind of does, and still retain the HC that we all know has no f*cking clue what he’s doing. Makes sense when considering…. It’s UM.

Manny has GOT TO GO under any circumstance
