Jai Lucas and the Miami Hurricanes basketball coaching staff have been extended out many offers to top recruits in the 2028 recruiting class, including top-10 small forward Mason Collins, who holds a total of eight offers.
Collins announced the offer on Friday afternoon as the Hurricanes are now targeting the No. 9 player nationally, No. 5 small forward, and No. 1 player out of Delaware, according to the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings.
Standing at 6-foot-6, and 195-pounds holding offers from the following schools: Florida State, NC State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Syracuse, Georgetown, Duke, and Villanova. According to the On3 Prediction Machine, the South Carolina Gamecocks currently hold the advantage in his recruitment.
Collins represents The Tatnall High School, where he led the to an overall record of 17-5 and 8-0 in league play. He was nominated to the USA's National U16 team averaging a total of 17.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.1 blocks per game.
Miami is now in connection for one of the best small forwards in the nation. Jai Lucas has also extended offers out to the No.1 small forward AJ Williams, who is expected to reclassify to the 2027 recruiting class.
