Less than a month ago the talk was we had the #1 class, or at least top3, in our sights. Since then we haven't won any surprises, 50/50s and lost some that insiders thought were "in the bag"

In today's recruiting, my first thought is money. I know we went hard in the xfer portal on top of trying to hang with the big boys for recruits. It's there smoke around the state of NIL?

Also, certain teams have a proven track record of producing top players at certain positions more recently than us, like WR, CB, and DT. When is the last time we sent one of those in the first round, or even 2nd or third round lol

You’re spot on, I was just talking about this in my comment lol, we have not produced any top wr’s, corners, or DT’s. I can’t name either of those positions we sent top 3 rounds in the last 5-maybe even 10 years

I’ve seen our fans make some mistakes thinking things “benefit” us

Early signing period. NIL.

To me the only advantage we have (and have always had) is Miami is a unique experience. Unique city. Unique campus lifestyle

All that other stuff can be mitigated instantly

Yes, I believe being in south florida and having money helps us a lot, if it wasn’t for that we’d be done honestly. Just like Nebraska.

A month ago many of us said we would be in the 6-10 range. The #1 thing was always click bait.

USC is going all out with both # of commits and $ and then add the regulars (UGA, Texas, Bama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Oh*o State).

An agent for a recruit that was once rumored to Miami said everything changed financially when Miami went back to the table with Cantwell after Georgia came further into the picture. Guessing we upped his offer to oblivion after he pushed his date back…. because Mario couldn’t lose a recruit on the OL. Ruined the rest of the class.

Just my assumption.

Miami was ahead of the curve 2 years ago when they got that top 5 class. It was only a matter of time before everyone else caught up
