Nick Saban calls out Alabama players for lack of resiliency

Supposedly they are not all "bought in" to the Saban way. Not sure exactly what that means but I took it to imply there are some more concerned with their own personal success rather than the team.... That's just from reading their board...

Sounds like he knows his team is playing how we did in 05-09…. Pretending the name on our jersey made us better instead of playing their game

Something to be seen if we can get a haymaker or two to start the game if they can get off the ropes

a lot of adversity for a young team that’s use to seeing OTHER guys who aren’t there pick up the slack

the entire program and fans are so arrogant but its justified. it is amazing how the program hasn't been victimized by the entitled 4-5 stars who come in and don't pan out. just wish we were a little more stout on defense for this one. would love to be the guys that knock them off their pedestal.

Nick Saban playing head games with his players to get them ready for the game.

That’s all this is.

I hate the guy, but he’s a master psychological strategist, in poor mouthing his own team and getting them to approach the game with a killer mentality.

He’s just trying to avoid overconfidence because they’re such big favorites against Miami
A Jimmy Johnson tactic. Jimmy sure put that psychology degree of his to work as a coach.

They got cash, jobs for their families and cars. Why would those kids turn on them even if they didn't pan out?

Saban is always playing head games, anything to gain an advantage. He never relaxes, never lets up.
And he has been known to use these pressers to get it sounded down. Everybody is in the dog days of fall camps and it's hotter than blazes this summer. He wants especially the younger guys to get their minds off themselves and step up when it's hard. That, I think, was a lot of the "anxiety" he was talking about overcoming.

Saban will use any motivators that he can muster to pump up his players from " it is just Miami and we are favorites" to a scenario of " Miami might surprise us so get ready".
Can you imagine his outrageousness if the Canes win and Manny Diaz beats his ***?.
Saban is covering his *** by using any method to motivate his slackers.
This is his tried and true. Typical Saban.

OCCC, I have a question and its not to neg or anything. I genuinely would like to know the reason you hate Nick Saban. I am not a Saban fan by any stretch but I certainly don't hate him. All he's done is created a system that rivals Alexander the Great in his approach to winning the game of college football. Please share your position and why.

Others who claim to "hate" him please give specific reasons why. I'm not claiming he's good person as I simply do not know. Please share why the hatred.

Exactly I hope all these talking heads keep kissing their asses! The bigger their head is on September 4 the louder the pop will be after we bust it to the white meat!

Honestly they’ve had tons of 4-5 star guys not pan out

but no one notices because they have other 4-5 star guys in their place

“tons” is probably an exaggeration but you know what I mean

Player development has really been at the heart of the Bama dynasty. Maybe a little-known factoid:

About half of Bama 5-stars have been drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft, a whopping 48.8%. Only 18.3% of every other 5-star in the country was drafted in the first round. Player development is getting overlooked a lot with our recruiting.
