For real what does Toney run? How many guys running 10.9 did he run by on the way to the end zone?
Mali doesn’t have one recorded but has a 400m time of 43.79 which if you do the math is a around a 10.5 100m…as a sophomore btw

Hold on, doubt Jerry Rice was 6’2 & 200 as a 17 yr old. People suggesting young fella is slow need to find a hobby. It’s February & early in season, guys. And how many players on current roster could step on a track today & run under 11 seconds?
Where did I say he’s slow?? I said it’s not elite…which it isn’t. At his frame, it better be elite.

Miss me with that Dee. The kid is small and struggles when you press him. He’s smells like Mark pope all over again.
If you recall coming out of the ridge I said I see concerns with noodles, just like I said I had my concerns with innis etc. This kid I just think it's a matter of learning the position and growing into his frame. I've seen how he handles press and agree it's currently an issue. But I don't see it as being an issue long term for him at all. This kid everything I see out of him says he's gonna be a dog & he's equally as talented at corner. I'm not gonna sit here and try to pick a kid apart who has dominated high school football in South Florida. Well worry about the next step when we get him here. Otherwise all we're doing is opening up these certain individuals on here who always spends entire off-season nagging about everything and I ain't on board for that. Last thing I'd say about noodles is remember he never really had the numbers to back up his hype either. This kid doesn't ever struggle at that

I wonder how many sprinters the US has lost because of football.
Track, just like football has these 5 star track stars that peak, get injured, etc

So just because a kid is a 5 star qb or elite sprinter, it doesn’t mean he’s gonna be wearing USA on his chest or get drafted in the nfl.

These kids that play both football and track may have better track times if they just focused on track.

Also, Olympic sprinters are probably on just as much gear as Tour de France cyclist.

seems like Lennear is right where he needs to be.

At the start of Bryce’s senior track season, he ran a 11.04 & 11.06. His only confirmed time as a junior was a 11.63. He had multiple 10.8s before getting that 10.68.

Mark Pope’s senior year he went as high as 11.11 and as low as 10.53.

These track times can be a bit more elastic than one would expect. Lennear, more importantly, already has more receiving yards and touchdowns than Pope had his whole HS career.

Dawson has had success with smaller wrs. Look at tank dell at houston he was 160-165. George wasn’t big and had success here

Ahhhh…gotta love track season…where the guys who were elite on the football field get ridiculed and downgraded based on a sport the majority of them don’t even train in. They just go out there..throw on a shirt and shorts and the track coach points them to the starting gate. You guys gotta relax. Lol.

Let me help you with that.

10.68…at probably the same weight.
PERFECT EXAMPLE.. Check the Sam Burley Invitational meet around same time last year Late Feb.

He ran a 11.06 and this is his SENIOR Year.. Go to same Sam Burley Meet 2024 year prior to compare like for like Junior season to compare to Lannear and he ran a 11.63 (Remember everyone said Bryce was slow prior to late last season track times)

Now NO ONE would call Bryce slow but these guys going off on first/second meet EARLY in season.. @LuCane

@cookies LET EM KNOW!!!
