We don't need him, but sure would be interesting to see a Vernon, Wake, Suh, and Wilfork line up next to each other next year.

Dolphins seriously didn't sing Antrelle for less than 4 mil a year!? Incredible.

Rams re-sign Brandon Washington

img16931252.jpg

Apr/27/15 10:46 PM Filed in: Brandon Washington
BrandonWashingtonRams re-signed exclusive rights free agent OG Brandon Washington to a one-year, $585,000 contract.

Washington was the Eagles' sixth-round pick in 2012. He was part of final cuts that year and has been with the Rams ever since. Viewed as a project with upside coming out of Miami, the time is now or never for Washington. He has a great opportunity ahead of him with the offensive line-starved Rams.

Dolphins sign LaRon Byrd

Apr/15/15 10:55 PM Filed in: LaRon Byrd
LaronByrd 2The Dolphins have met veteran wide receivers Greg Jennings and Michael Crabtree recently, but they signed a less familiar name on Wednesday.

Miami announced that they’ve signed LaRon Byrd to their 90-man roster. Byrd will be returning to the city where he played his college ball with the University of Miami Hurricanes and where he spent time on the practice squad last year.

Byrd has bounced around the league for the last few years, getting his first taste of playing time with the Cardinals in 2012 after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. He was waived last April and played one game for the Browns between a pair of stints on the Cowboys roster. Byrd’s only reception, an eight-yard catch, came with the Cardinals in 2012.

That’s not a ton of experience, but the Dolphins depth chart at receiver is pretty short on it once you get past Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Rishard Matthews. Barring several additions to the group via the draft or other means, Byrd should compete for one of the lower spots in the pecking order.

I hope Sharpton lands somewhere.

What city are the Bears from again? If you catch a Bear do you keep it in a ***e? You know. Like at the zoo.

lmao

He has porential value as an inside LB in an NFL 3-4 scheme, which is coming back in fashion. Here is a somewhat old piece by John Clayton on that trend, made more enjoyable (or is it sad, since we still have Alfredo here) by the Miami references right at the open.

Chase ****** Ford. Outstanding. How Reggie Wayne is still unsigned is beyond me. Miami? Jax? Plenty of teams could use a mr. Dependable.

Ereck Flowers to Giants
Phillip Dorsett to Colts

Guess I'll be rooting for the Colts to win it all next year.

Since 1999:
EVERY starting TE at the U made it to NFL.
10 players from the U were drafted to play TE in the NFL.
5 of those 10 played in at least one Pro Bowl.
4 of those 10 were drafted in the 1st Round (Franks, Shockey, Winslow, Olsen).
10 out of the last 14 Pro Bowls had at least one TE from the U.
3 of those Pro Bowls had 2 TEs representing the U.
In 2014, 2 Hurricanes TE played in the Pro Bowl, 3 started for their teams and 6 were on NFL rosters.
In 2015, Clive Walford will be joining the best TE fraternity in the NFL, known as TE U.

1) I don't think we can claim Author Brown, or can/should claim Thomas Finnie
2) Where's Fentress.
3)The FA list at the end of OP post is a little depressing. Definitely a changing of the guards going on.

Otherwise, great post.

Buffalo Bills announce 13 undrafted free agent signings
By Brian Galliford @BrianGalliford on May 5, 2015, 11:00am

Monday afternoon, several hours before the eventual hubbub that was Rex Ryan meeting with La'el Collins in Louisiana, the Buffalo Bills announced the signings of 13 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2015 NFL Draft.

In doing so, the Bills increased their roster from 77 players all the way to the maximum-allowed figure of 90 - meaning that if the Bills want to bring in any more players from this point forward in the offseason, they'll need to release another player to do so.

Who are the 13 newest Bills, you ask? Here are the names.

Jermaine Barton, OT, Illinois State
6065, 332 - no workouts (knee/wrist)
Miami transfer, three-year starter at RT
physical, mauler in need of technique work
