Talking out of my league here cause I’m not coaching xo guy. I think a lot of teams take advantage of the inside/slant/dig routes cause of timing etc. I think it’s more of taking what the defense gives you. No one wants to give up the outside for big gains. See tua and smith beat uga for example.
Here is rumph talking about it. Not saying your wrong that maybe we give up too many of them. Don’t know if it’s lack of talent or scheme.

Really stupid philosophy. Outside throws are harder throws on every level...

Inside throws are easier for any QB to make.

Now I understand why our CB’s give up the inside faster than Vegas hookers.
