I'll say it like this: The ACC likely gets 2 teams into the CFP and the B1G and SEC get 4 each. The BIG 12 get 1 and 1 goes to an Independent/G 5.

Take this year under next year's format. If Louisville beats Kentucky they likely move up 1 spot. Losing to FSU in the title game would likely still keep them in the top 12.

So, If Miami can get to the ACC title game with 0 or 1 losses, there's a good chance of making the CFP.
