I love his offense and what he’s doing at Cuse is really impressive.

He’s building a nice program from scratch.

I honestly don’t think he’d come unless he wanted access to our level of athlete. Cuse can probably match our money. Or even surpass offer.

I want an offensive guru , no more coaches close to getting their social security.

It’s time for Miami to take a chance on a young guru , no more lazy hires. Butch would be lazy.
 
Mario would never come to this **** pile. He’s got a first round QB & the #1 defensive recruit in the nation.

Did some research on Neal Brown cause I honestly had no idea who he was... props to whoever brought him up! Air raid disciple who likes to run the ball. Offensive minded but will adapt his offense to the talent he has. Beat LSU in Baton Rouge which isnt easy at all. Dude looks legit!

1) Dino

3) Campbell

All names that should be available next year, have signature wins, run modern offenses and were OC within the last decade lol... whoever we go after we need to start actually paying for quality asst coaches. No more friends of friends/family. No more bartenders or used car salesmen. QUALITY COACHES with proven track records
 
Butch Davis is a MONSTER. He built Miami TWICE, The Cowboys and UNC. He is the best recruiter this university has ever seen. He makes Urban as a recruiter look like dog ****. He is the best evaluator of talent ever, as proven by the Hurricanes twice and those championship Cowboy teams. There are some who think he didn't win as Miami's Head Coach. lol The year he left and was hired to coach in the NFL, we finished number two and should have played for the title. I'll take a hundred year old Butch Davis over ANY up and comer system guy. Talent and recruiting win. Lastly, when he does leave Miami, he leaves the team full of Elite talent. Butch #1, #2 & #3

Butch would not be on my list. Credit to him building the greatest college team of all time, but haven’t we had enough for the coaches that are past their prime? Fans have a short memory. Why do you think there were fire Butch banners? Because everyone complained about his game day coaching and thought he was UNDERACHIEVING. Everyone loves to talk about his evaluation skills. Yes, he was elite in that category for us. Fast forward 18 years and the recruiting game has changed. It’s much harder to find the 2 star Ed reeds. He did a very good job at NC, but not enough to say he shud be at Miami.

Why does everyone bring up Lane Kiffin? Does that guy have a witch casting spells on people? Never have I seen a guy that continues to fail upward as much as this guy. Is his gift of bag that good or something?

Butch isn't happening. Something about him scares everyone but a desperate Pete Garcia.

Butch - would not be offered.
Urban - would not be interested.
Kiffin - FAU regressed when Briles left. Would have been better to hire Briles as OC. Instead, our biggest rival hires him.
Mario - Let’s see how 2019 plays out, since he gets Herbert for another season.
Manny - Let’s see how 2019 plays out with Manny in charge of a program.

I think Matt Campbell has done a great job at Iowa State. Has beaten three or four Top 10 teams in the past two seasons. May be maxed out at Iowa State and ready to move up.

Butch interviewed and was all but hired. Mark was fired at Georgia and the rest is just sad history. If Mark gets canned or leaves, Butch will be a very real option and he has the support of the MOST important donners, BOT members and former players. It’s the universe just working itself out. He’s a very real possibility.

Hiring Butch is a desperate move. Go back to John Robinson, Jonny Majors Bill Snyder, Bobby Petrino, Joe Gibbs, Chuck Knox. College or pro, the second time around it's just isn't the same. For a lot of you all, Butch is like your high school sweetheart. No other woman will ever measure up to her, but if you got back with her, it wouldn't be like the magic you had in high school.
