In my opinion winning recruits itself. Sure he may start out slow recruiting but he’d still win with the guys we have now & then the bigger fish would come. I’m sure he’d add a few snipers to help himself out as well. I do agree with your premise though.

These guys always bring up retreads. How about we hire somebody with a history of building up programs with a sound philosophy on both sides of the ball for once.

The only class he signed at UT was the one Fulmer had already recruited. He wasn’t even at UT for a full year.

You keep saying he didn’t have any players while at USC. They were preseason #1 & #2 and finished 7-6. Someone must have thought there were some players there.

He is savage on twitter so a bunch of you think that makes him cool and he would be a great coach here. Facts are facts. He has failed literally everywhere he has been the head coach. Everywhere.

I know the possibility of him coming here are slim to none but, if we really want an Urban Meyer type of guy here's one that's cut from the same cloth.

He’s a horrible in-conference coach and he’s had issues with developing consistency with his teams. One year Utah is a 9 win team then they’re a 6 win team the next. I want a young innovater like Campbell or Brown or a technician like Lance Leipold and Dino Babers.

I don’t have to see what Leipold does. He’s the only guy coaching college football right now with at least 5 National championships not named Nick Saban. He just did it in D-3...a lot harder when you don’t have the resources like a D-1 program.

Then explain to me why his teams are so inconsistent? One year they’re 9-3 then they’re 6-6 the next. I’m not saying he isn’t a good coach, I believe we need a guy with a higher ceiling like the others I’ve mentioned.

Babers doesn't get the respect he should. Sharp guy.

Seems to connect well to the players. Love his ATD.

I would consider Mario if we surround him with a legit OC/DC because he’ll clean up on the trail. If that doesn’t happen then it’ll be no different than before and we’ll officially become the Washington Huskies of the mid 2000’s
