Next 2 weeks are trap games

I think we have different definitions of trap games.
When I think of trap games I think of games we can realistically lose.

That just does not seem possible with these next two games no matter how people want to spin it to me.

Do you remember UNC game?

Play like that again and we definitely can lose to Pitt and UVA.

We won't play like that. We have better plays on offense that we did not utilize in that game and players are stepping up and learning their roles.

Plus the defense is getting better and better each game.

Leadership and coaching will be the difference.

Can there be a bit of a let down emotionally? Sure. But no way do I see us losing.

I just hope we can stay motivated and understand what is at stake. I think our new offensive wrinkles and the using rosier in the run game more will help us score more points. Also it ain't a coincidence that our O-line can suddenly run the ball well when big don came back.

Also fans gotta show for the UVa game. These group of seniors did what felt like the impossible just 2 years ago. Also, we need to practice with the same intensity for every game, coaches/leaders have to do a better job motivating our players to go 100% all the time (especially the O-line and front 7 - I don't know what Diaz and Searles are doing in practice to improve our LB/OL but keep it up), add more things into the offense, and just continue to grind. Don't let all the media attention distract you from work because the only poll that matters is the last two. Of course enjoy it but don't celebrate it as if we just won the superbowl.

While on paper we should roll, we certainly cannot take either of these games for granted. Even our best team had the scare of a lifetime on the road against a completely overmatched Boston College team.

In the modern era of college football, it has been proven time and time again that anybody can beat anybody on any given day. It just takes a perfect storm of circumstances sometimes.

I have faith that our coaching staff, along with our veteran leadership, will keep this team grounded and focused so that we roll through these two games and are playing our best football going into the ACCCG.

Hopefully they rank us 4th on tuesday. That should keep us feeling nice & disrespected.

With much already earned ACC Coastal Division, 1st ACC title game appearance, top 5 ranking, it's important the team doesn't get complacent and take UVA, and Pitt for granted in the coming weeks. UM needs to win out to assure itself a spot in the playoff. No let downs!

I felt that before UNC game. I felt that the team could go there thinking they would just show up and the game would be over. They did exactly that but prevailed in the end. This time, for some reason I'm not that worried. I think the team grew up a lot since then and now we have leaders on the team who won't let the players slip.

For the guys claiming we blow out both these teams......that is exactly the point!

The idea these games will be easy and it'll be a blowout is why they are trap games. We've played down to the competition a lot this year. Everyone needs to take this ihs seriously. Coaches, players, former players etc. Fans need to do our part on Sat. I am trying to get down there myself, just working out details.

IMO as I️ explained it to a Gator fan was this team hasn’t found their competitive/focal identity yet so they mirror their opponents. Which gives us lackluster outcomes against inferior teams and complete games against talented ones. Now a ND game like last night might be the spark for them to dominate the next 2 games as they should but I️ would not be surprised if we party caked the next 2 weeks but still get the W.

A caveat to that I️ might add is that if we are undefeated with this game day mentality it’s going to be bad for College Football when they figure how to mentally dominate every single opponent.

Think the next two weeks will provide the perfect opportunity to get Ahmon Richards rolling. I hope the coaches feel the same.

Can't go back to coffee shop atmospheres for this Virginia game. Fans need to keep the foot on the pedal

Just like Miami can't get complacent.... the fans can't either next week. They obviously feed of that ****. Show up.

I'm trying brother. Need the GF to give up a work shift, need a dog sitter, and a babysitter. And tix.....

I was You until the babysitter part. Wife played sick at work and I picked her up at 430 yesterday drive down to HRS from Lakeland, left at the end of 3rd then drove back. Had to take a cat nap on the turnpike but I’d do it all over again.

You should ' tarred and feathered ' for even thinking such a LAME notion and what not!:puzzled: Because Miami AIN'T going to lose their final two regular season games! dUh.

Last night was the hurdle this team needed to clear. I don't think they even realized how good they can be. The playing down to our competition is over, they understand what's at stake and we...
