New Uniforms Finally

With all due respect, those uni's suck! Current uniforms look a LOT better. We just need to make all of our striping the same on the pants, jersey, and helmet.

JMO tho lol.

As stated last offseason, Miami was already wearing and testing replica versions of the 2001 jerseys, and that was never random. I fully expect the program to roll out new uniforms this upcoming season that truly replicate the most iconic look in college football history: the 2001 Miami Hurricanes jerseys. Clean, simple, and aggressive. No gimmicks, no over-design, just the same timeless orange, green, and white that defined dominance and swagger. These are still the best uniforms the sport has ever seen, and they hold up even today. Fans are going to buy them instantly, recruits already love them, and the history behind that look still carries serious weight. If Miami drops a true replica the right way, it’s a huge win for the program, the brand, and the culture. I can’t wait to see them officially unveiled and worn under the lights. #GoCanes View attachment 355157View attachment 355158
I have an idea.

So right now, everyone seems to be content with our 80’s/90’s traditional look with the block numbers myself included. Specifically the orange uniform. It looks 🔥. I don’t want to change these specific orange uniforms.

Now, when it comes to green, I would like to see that 2001 throwback because if I’m not mistaken (my memory is fading), we mostly wore green uniforms with that color concept.

Is this possible? I don’t like our current green uniforms because we never wore that style in the 80’s/90’s, it was more of a 2000’s thing. I say keep the orange the way it is. Do a 2001 throwback with the green.

Is OP making ish up again?
Disbelief No GIF

Yall really want Adidas trash *** butchering this?

They just barely got us looking halfway ok now...
Our Jerseys are some of the cleanest in college football. Idk everyone on this board hates them. Also, apparently, they stepped up big time with Mensah, so I doubt they're going anywhere. The quality of apparel for fans however, is a different story

It amazes me how many people don't know this about those uni's. They weren't unique to Miami.

I don't think that anyone has ever said that those jerseys were unique to Miami. Nor is our current uniform unique to Miami.

But those old uniforms represent the greatest team to ever play college football. And in that regard, they are special and cherished.

Maybe someone used the wrong word, or someone was not aware that the design was used by others. But I don't think anyone is trying to claim that those jerseys should be worn as throwbacks simply based on uniqueness.

Besides, let's focus on the real problem, which is that the OP is a massive bull****ter who continues to lie to us in every post.

Them 01 uniform designs were worn by other teams

We should've never changed our get up from the 80's and 90's. Which is why I'm glad we went back because our uniforms after that were looking like they was bought from Ross.

Just interjecting some context here: Miami was the first Nike school to wear the 2001 chassis. Oregon state made the change to the “2001 miami” uniform chassis in 2004, while Miami was already onto the next chassis. I don’t have all the links/sources handy as uni-watch has gone down but Miami was on Nike’s bleeding edge of uniform tech at the time. So yes it’s true that other schools wore the 2001 design. They were unique to miami as they piloted and wore the design years before Nike outfitted other schools with the chassis. I personally love the design because of the memories they represent.

I like our current versions, except I wish they'd wear the orange pants more. That's really the iconic look.
