This is a bit of a redundant post but just organizing things a bit in my brain. Looks like we are headed towards a pretty significant change to our starting lineup this year (something we all hoped for). You could make the case that there’s 15 or 16 new starters.

The OL, CBs, LBs seem to be the most changes

LT Rivers looks to start though he’s been in the program a while. There’s 3 starters that weren’t even on the team last year (kudos to Mario and Mirabal smashing this)

Cohen
Lee
Mauigoa

WR seems relatively unchanged on paper but in reality though Colbie Young didn’t come on till late in the year, X was hurt, George didn’t play much, RayRay stands to play a lot

Ajay Allen looks to get split time with Parrish though I would still categorize Parrish as RB1 Allen and Fletcher will play a lot

TE Arroyo takes over for Mallory

DL you’ve got Mesidor and Taylor as the returning starters and Kelly played a lot but not sure about actual starts. Deen just got here

LB Mauigoa is the cornerstone. Wes played some last year but looks to be the full time starter. Cloyd might get some starting run before the young guys step in.

Safeties are the same relatively speaking though Williams will move around.

The CBs are totally new. Brown, Brown, Davis, Richard all seem primed for big minutes.

The more I was writing it out, it’s pretty insane the turnover we’ve had for basically our entire starting lineup.

Anything I missed in here? Lots of freshmen I think will log minutes and eventually starts as well

You go 5-7 and have the home stand we had last year of nothing but blowout home losses to MTSU, Duke, Fu, Im talking the most disgusting ball I have ever seen I wouldnt have even blinked if they gave the head guy a headshot also.. Clean house, corches got tossed and I know fans have affinity for these players but I dont want to watch 5-7 ball so majority being gone is great to me..

There had to be repercussions for last season, I dont care how long a rope some people give Cristobal because he went to columbus or whatever reason, that **** cannot happen again for no reason.. Alot of people checked out but dont realize how bad it was, this guy had sooo much goodwill going into season and burned it ALL.. Probably wont sellout texas am as a result.. FML.. Hopefully by Clemson we show improvement and can build a true home field advantage..

We have 41 new players on the roster this year.

I think the fans will show out hard for that A&M game but if we flop hard again, yeah it’s going downhill pretty quickly.

We landed two in the portal at WR, three at defensive tackle. At the very least depth was improved.
Yeah Deen is super impressive. Harrells speed could really change a game on a play or two

I personally do not feel as strongly as many felt about landing a “space eater” nose tackle type. But our run defense is a big question mark and it’s tough to have a guy like Young be WR1

But if we were a perfect team we wouldn’t be on the outside of the top 25 looking in thinking about 7-8 wins

The roster on paper is in much better shape than last year
