New preferred walk-on at LB

One day, just one day, I hope one of these walk on guys is our Baker Mayfield / Hunter Renfrow and just balls out to become legendary.

Adrian Colbert was as good as anyone could have ever reasonably imagined. It looks like he'll be in the NFL for a while.

He wasn’t a walk on. He was great for us and will be nice in the NFL but Baker and Renfrow are legends in their programs forever. That’s what I’m talking about.

See my edit. Santana ***** on Renfrow. Joaquin was awesome too.

Some of you are ridiculous. Is Miami going to be counting on this kid to be an impact player? No.

But it is news of a roster transaction so I am going to report it. Nothing more, nothing less

There are some ungrateful cuck on this board. Cant appreciate any information. Good or bad.

How did he get Navy to release him?

Pretty sure that the academy players must decide whether or not to sign on for the full commitment after their first or second year. Navy's FB (Gargiulo?) was torn between returning to Navy or leaving at the end of last year because he wasn't sure he wanted to make the full commitment.

Yep, they can transfer after their 1st (or 2nd?) year.
They are not on scholarship either, so that means they can play right away.
After that it gets tricky.
You may even have to repay tuition and cost among other things.

Keep all the info coming and ignore comments from some of our so-called fans.

Also, let us know about that 10th coach.

Good ******* question. This does not happen. He has signed to serve his country. Strange...

It does happen. I have a family friend that transferred from Navy to Alabama back in the 90’s...

I had a friend in college who played baseball at Air Force his freshman year, before transferring to play at Tulane. Of course, he got caught with a fake ID at AFA, so, he had to leave. Might not be the best example.......

From a transfer perspective, Adrian Colbert was as good as anyone could have ever reasonably imagined. It looks like he'll be in the NFL for a while. Brock Berlin was a great transfer for us as well. From a walk-on perspective, Santana and Joaquin... there are your legends.

Don't forget Albert Bentley.

Literally nobody in this thread has spoken down on this guy, everyone just saying we'd love for him to become great and Pete is telling us to settle down.

You can leave the Academies before you sign the contract to service your Junior year free of charge. If you decide to leave after you sign the contract you pay an absurd tuition or you serve as an enlisted.

You don't sign to serve your country until your Junior year in the Academies. You can leave free of charge before signing the contract.

Don't take it personal Pete.

15 straight years of misery & an underwhelming finish to the season/start to the off-season has everyone feeling a little feisty. Nice depth. Our coordinators still suck. Thanks for the info.
