If the idea behind the gear is to appeal to recruits, then listen to what they like, not to a bunch of old men stuck in the glory years clinging to tradition like it's their mama's teet.
The recruits have spoken. They prefer ostentatious over boring. The two uniforms they hated the most: Alabama and Ped State. They love Oregon, and they even love that crazy nonsense from Maryland.
Male fans shouldn't give a squirt of diarrhea about uniforms other than how they might be used to appeal to recruits. If the mindset is to make something fun and appealing to recruits based on the science of what actually appeals to them, then how can you whine about a fcking uniform?
The logic behind this makes me chuckle. Last I checked the CEO of Adidas did not graduate of Miami. Oregon and Maryland are supplied with the best Nike and Under Armour have to offer. Of course recruits will enjoy getting new **** every week. You can have a clean uniform that isn't "boring".

The fact is this, Miami's current uniforms weren't on the favorite or non-favorite list. Our previous Uniforms w/ Nike changed over time...we had the classic 80's uniforms, we changed it up a bit in the 90's, the iconic early 2000's, then the pro-combat gear in 2010-2014. The designs were nothing outrageous, and they stayed clean and to this day, fans are still rocking those jerseys, not these new ones.
Kids are prone to all type of different color schemes....The Black Ice and White Ice Jersey's that we sported last year were clean, but the fiesta feathers all over the place on our weekly game day joints is ridiculous...and no way our practice jerseys should look better than our game day jerseys.
