New players who have improved under this staff

People don’t usually realize what it’s like to have a guy that consistently flips the field position until they get a guy like feagles. How many punts inside the 10 has Headley had this year?
Can't remember which specific games but Feagles definitely cost us a few during Richt's last year when we lost to LSU and finished 7-5. I think he had a net negative that season, it may have been against LSU.

I understand the people who want to defend Mario for taking over the disaster that he received from Manny, that has been discussed enough. But which of the new recruits that Mario brought in, in 2023 and the portal guys that he brought in as well have we seen improvement from during this season?

Skinner let a ball bounce off his face mask last night, WB hasn’t been immune to missed tackles this year as well.
You should change your name from bobbo to BOBO. Make sure to capitalize as well.

The entire o line has improved in their pass blocking.

Guys have certainly gotten better, the problem is guys who have big roles on this team who aren’t culture fits or whatever have regressed to offset that development of others so the team results haven’t really changed

Are you serious?

Our line’s pass blocking last season was way better. TVD was barely sacked or hit hard.

This season our QB’s have gotten blasted multiple times due to our OL constantly missing assignments and whiffing on blocks.

Justice had our OL playing at a much higher level. It’s not even debatable.

TVD is injured because of the ****** OL pass blocking.

Zion actually playing and giving a Fook had something to do with last year's play, especially pass blocking.

It’s pretty asinine to blame the horrendous line play on one guy not being available. Specially a guy that isn’t an all-world tackle, or even remotely close to it.

Our run blocking looked marginally better earlier this season. We were averaging a little better YPC than last season. But our pass blocking has been terrible all season long. Our QB’s have been blasted from the blind side multiple times, the worst of these resulted in TVD getting injured.

That TVD being blasted/injured if I recall was from the left side where Zion usually resides. Him being out forced stone feet Campbell into the incorrect position on the line. The overall crappy offense also asks the qb to hold the ball longer which never helps any non elite o line.

I also took the following @Cribby post from another thread:

“Our qb’s are remote control dummies out there for Gattis. No sliding protection or audibles. It’s amazing how far we’ve fallen with qb play and trusting them. At least TVD could slide protections last year and that explains why the pass blocking was so much better.”

How you came up with the narrative that our OL’s pass blocking has “improved” this season is perplexing, to say the least.

I agree with the last part of your post.

However, on the play that TVD was injured on two guys came in from the blind side untouched. Campbell didn’t even look at them. They both came in unabated and destroyed TVD.

Zion has a history of missed assignments, too. I think that if TVD had the freedom as he had under Lashlee to slide protections at the line, and not have to do the “check with me” bullshyt on every play, he may have avoided injury, and our OL probably would have looked a lot better this season.

Bissainte was very good yesterday. The kid had 7 solo tackles. He was one of thew few bright spots.

I was talking about this year. Game 1 to game 11. The pass blocking has improved.

Yeah, last year it was 100 times better

Our QBs have been killed this year

Garcia has been atrocious, no doubt about it. But I have to disagree with anyone giving Skinner a pass on that drop. He dropped the ball, plain and simple. He has to make that catch. It hit both his hands and smacked him in the face mask. It would not have been a “great” play if he caught. Not sure what others are seeing here.
That te from uga makes that catch
That was a drop
I’ll excuse him bc he’s a freshman
But that te at Norte dame and uga those guys were snatching these kind of balls since freshman year
Hopefully Riley is actually an elite te

you bring up 2 true freshmen? those guys shouldn't even be on the field until next year if the previous staff knew how to build a solid roster. I remember a time when you wouldn't even touch the field until your JR year at Miami. you expect freshmen to make mistakes. but those freshmen still look better than the ones we've had for 3-4 years at those positions

That throw to skinner was bad ball placement , he had the defender beAt and he had to slow up for the ball. A qb with accuracy would put that throw on his outside shoulder and either he catches it or it goes out of bounds. Him slowing up allowed the defender to get in the play.

As for Mario’s guys that’s improved it’s WB, Anez Cooper , N Kelly and C Young. Wb has played very well and doesn’t miss a lot of tackles. He’s already one of the better players on the D.
True but Skinner should've attacked the ball at its highest point. He needs to use that long frame to his advantage.

This is a different college football. TF play all over the country even on well managed rosters. Make believe that guys will stay around for their Junior and Senior years to get playing time.

Our pass blocking was so much better last year because towards the end of the year we became a HEAVY RPO team. Meaning we were run blocking for alot of our pass plays. Justice said so himself in an interview

Y’all’s stamina *****ing about the same things over and over again is ******* incredible to watch

It’s like watching elite Mexican featherweights

Amirite @k9cane ?
