New NIL by Ruiz

There’s not much information to glean from that tweet, other than he’s going to be doing a NIL marketing business.

Literally anyone can start & do NIL businesses for players if they want to, you could give a player NIL deal for $40 dollars if he wanted it (not that any of them would), but the point is, there’s no grand major conspiracy or anything conspicuous going on.

He’s a rich guy with a lot of disposable income who wants to help Miami win, what’s the issue here?

The only difference between him & the Texas boosters is that he hasn’t yet started butting in on coaching meetings & trying to tell the staff who should or shouldn’t start & there’s no way on earth he’d do that, nor would Mario let him.

Whether or not his multi-billion dollar deal goes through or not, is really irrelevant, it’s not like he’s flat broke & it’s not like he still wouldn’t be a willing financial contributor to the program. Miami needs all the money we can get & then some if yall really want us to compete for the CFP on an annual basis.

We need to use every resource & every potential booster we have to give ourselves the opportunity to win, if Ruiz wants to throw around his money, let him.

This x 1000

Lol hilarious how he announced this even though the NCAA is supposedly investigating us… boss shxt!! :rickflair2:
Ruiz and crew has a clear message to the NCAA….

I can understand the trepidation when it comes to deals like this but Mr. Ruiz is no Shapiro in any way, shape, or form.
Lebatard and Billy Cohen keep trying to insinuate he's another Scott Rothstein. It's such a lazy and essentially slanderous narrative from guys too lazy to even begin to try to understand the source of his potential* wealth. But but but Rothstein was a flashy ostentatious South Florida lawyer before he got busted so I guess it makes sense for shtick.

For all I know maybe Ruiz's SPAC deal isn't remotely as profitable as some people anticipate but that's completely different than labeling the dude a conman or criminal.

This all sounds great but I hope that he's coordinating with the right folks to make sure all these contracts are ironclad and to make sure we're targeting who we need. I'd love for Radakovich's staff to be all over this.

You will never, ever hear about it, because it's against the rules for outside NIL companies to collude with the school. But be assured, Mario et all know exactly what is going on, and are able to nudge things in certain directions. All the players know each other.

Any actual meetings will be clandestine. But because it's Miami, the Mario, Ruiz, Mas, etc. clandestine NIL meetings will look something like this:

Alright, I have been trying to follow NIL deals, does every deal get reviewed by Compliance??

I don’t take anything those 2 clowns say seriously.

It has to be frustrating for Mike Ryan to have to continuously pretend like Cohen knows anything about or even cares about the current state of Miami football or even the school in general. I'm sure he's fine with Lebatard probably watching about 3 full Canes games a year since he's the cashcow.

**** yea intresting!! Miami pounce on those 5 stars now!! it's goin to get capped sometime!! no way it can keep goin like that with nil deals, it's uneven playing field!! take advantage

Lmao at 500 mil on NIL!!
No businessman is doing that. ROI is zero $$ for an investment like that.
This is the thing that’s confused me about these NIL deals from the beginning. What exactly are these businesses getting out of the 5, 6 or 7 figure deals they are signing with these kids? Is it really just about legally helping them secure a bag?

For example, I haven’t seen one ad, event or anything else with D’Eriq King and the Florida Panthers.

And how exactly does a car dealer afford a 7 figure deal with Bryce Young?

Just feels like some of these big money players are eventually going to wake up and realize they’ve put a ton of capital in with minimal return.

Maybe I’m thinking too much like a business man and not enough like a big money college booster.

Ruiz is shady but the hillbillies that have been paying off Bama players ever since forever aren’t? You chicken **** porsters been crying about being big time and when UM finally does something about it, you all are still crying. It’s over. The genie is out of the bottle and players are going to get paid. Where you think they rather get paid and spend that money - some racist **** town in the middle of no where or ******* MIAMI? STFU and enjoy the ride.

Man ain't spent buss fare on the the program yet. Thought it was interesting he immediately jumped to stadium which will be nearly impossible and will take time instead of easy low hanging fruit like facilities locker room or NIL from jump. Begging for attention begging for clout. Lastly the billions are not in the account. It's contigent on that company going public and his majority shares will then bring billions. Legit business man would have waited in the wings moved quietly and then paid for all the things with quicker turnover and slapped his name on it.

This take might age like unrefrigerated chicken but it's odd. How many soon to be billionaires are coolin with DBC???? Love DBC to death but come on. Like I said could all be legit but seems off.
I agree with this. Kinda odd he went straight to that.

I think it’s more how this guy is portraying himself as a billionaire before it even happened. If he’s legit no one is gonna care how much he drops in bags. But if he built his empire on a house of cards and the feds get involved that’s where things get shady.
