So I have to be honest; I don’t get the connection to The GOAT (argue witcho mamas) Muhammad Ali.

1. None of Ali’s Robes matches this color scheme
2. He didn’t wear Everlast gloves matching this scheme

With that said, I believe it’s a nice uni overall, but it should’ve been their traditional red w/ black & gold accents. That would’ve truly been an homage to Ali.

I spotted the Everlast typography immediately. Took me right back to my childhood when I started watching boxing (and Ali, I'm old).

It LOOKS LIKE there may be some sort of collar design. But it's not very prominent.

If adidas wanted to think outside the box (like the Nike/Tulane Mardi Gras jersey), I would have said "can you make a 'championship belt' design on the pants?"

Finally, I seem to recall Ali wearing...a lot of white and a lot of red...WHICH ARE LOUISVILLE COLORS!!! So why go with an all-black uniform?

Again, it looks fine, but outside of the Louisville/Everlast typography (which is brilliant), I just don't see what they seemingly want me to see.

Gotta give props when it’s due. adidas did some nice work here. Trying to give myself a false sense of confidence they won’t ***** up the 01 throwbacks.

Look at the lettering/font on this. It is absolutely garbage. Go to your local park tomorrow and I guarantee you every pop warner team has better executed jerseys than this. It genuinely looks like press on lettering/numbers. It’s just so **** pathetic from a 30 billion dollar sport company

Didn’t even notice that… They legitimately gave up midway through! This is the **** I’m talking about—beyond the money, athlete deals, stock prices, etc. You can’t trust their design department.

Saw them earlier. Thought - why not include the pants and why do ours looking like swamp water. Our design last year was terrible. That Mario wore that ridiculous shirt for weeks was rough.

Black and white is the iconic photo.

Because of why they did It I assume they didn't want to do it for an away uni - which imo would have fit this better as you'd have white jersey with the black font which would match well.

Pants just should have been black imo... Though in the first image with Beck, I actually think the green pants actually look mostly fine. Plenty of other images where the green pants don't look like they work as well though. And certainly not in the graphics they made

What posessed Mauigoa to wear White tape instead of black that day, no idea....
