Iām still laughing at the crap gear that was given to the team a few years ago for the schools first final four appearance⦠looked like they went to the local outlet and screen printed a few logos on the fly.If I start listing the stuff that is wrong with Adidas in regards to both availability and quality in gear, I wouldn't be done by next week.
So let's stop with the narrative that Nike has issues at this years world cup on its own. Adidas has severe ones that extend beyond Nikes on top of the fact that their shoes are significantly worse.
**** them boys got plant based jersey's, the impossible jersey.Anyways, speaking of Adidas & lies:

Oh really, Adidas? So this font pattern was inspired by the corn fields of Nebraska, u say? Hmmm, I guess Miami is the new Husker state, too, huh?

LOL nothing in miami is done on competitive bids. melreese orange bowl etc. all were no bids im pretty sure and same with the construction companies the county usesThe deal was done through the county with Miami Dade public schools so yes it was a competitive bid process.
As for the jersey comment, these are directly from nike. Though yes the fanatics thing is a whole different can of worms one could bring up when you talk about bad quality of fan gear.
The shoulders stand up when worn. Something to do with the way the seaming was done.
Again i'm not here for an argument on whos better. I'm not an apparel guy, but i just think some of the stuff being posted on this thread ignores context and/or is a blatant misrepresentation of the way the apparel stuff has been handled by UM. I can't speak in detail to prior to Rad taking over and how the school did things but i've got a pretty good idea of how they've conducted themselves since and some of the narratives on this thread could not be further from the truth. Miami received bids and has had talks with multiple apparel companies for example. Not sure where this closed bid storyline came from.
Again I don't care about apparel as much as some. I think both companies leave much to be desired when it comes to quality from the consumer perspective. But if you think mario Cristobal, who has a huge nike bias, and others in leadership signed off on a deal with adidas without speaking to nike and trying to get the best deal for the university then i dont know what to tell you.
On that note, back to lurking and talking about things i actually care about like where we'll be playing football in 3 years.
The fine details of the jerseys are not the problem.Am i the only one who thinks our current uniforms (maybe minus the blackout) are actually rly good? The stormtroopers looked nuts in the CFP. I know the mess of uniforms that came before it, but Iām surprised to see all the hate against adidas by including current pics in the posts.
I donāt care too much about what they wear. If they win championships they cld rags and i wouldnāt care. Obvious is nice to look good. All seems a bit unnecessary. Letās be excited about the awesome team not get in a hissy fit about fine details of the jerseys

In fairness, I have absolute respect for @Canesfan1993 and he definitely knows SoFla high school sports.
But I've also been watching Dade County "business as usual" politics since the 1980s, and full-blown competitive bidding is a rarity.
I'm still hopeful that adidas promises a lot and delivers a lot. But I was born in Missouri. Show Me.
Couple of my boyās youngins made it & heās there as we speak.
These jits nowadays dont really care.. Its old heads/unc status mainly worried about it.. These jits wear anything lolYou posting this to make us mad?
Nike is so much cleaner. Even the sweatsuits/tracksuits blow adidas out of the water (maybe thatās personal bias tho as Iāve been rocking them for years).

Back in our day, we only would wear nike.. I seen kids go in last 5-ish years from yeezy to vans to New Balance to Sambas to Golas to Asics to crocs, they are wayyyyyy wider palate to things that would get you laughed off the court or football fields.. These jits different but if you believe they nike/jordan til they die like we were back in day then it is what it is..Nah; they fa sho careā¦.they heavy criticize anything. Now, do they care about the bag more? 100%, but Iāve seen enough fights at stores over certain drops to know they care.
