**** the quality in this pic is crazy. The Nike material looks better quality, adidas look like they use the sock material from Lot Less
Itās not particularly close:
-Iāve felt & compared UWs old Nike jerseys vs. Adidasā newest jersey template as one of my homies played for UW in the early 2000ās, & as an alum he gets gear.
-Iāve felt & compared Armyās 2005 Adidas jerseys vs. 2006 (when they made the switch to Nike) from my relative whoās a West Point alum & former player (will be promoted to Colonel in literally 2 days).
-Iāve felt & compared Miamiās fan jersey from 2014 vs. 2023.
-Iāve felt & compared the NFL jerseys from 2011 (when Reebok was a subsidiary of Adidas) v. 2012 after they struck a deal w Nike.
When I speak on aesthetics, material, functionality, etc. itās not a biased observation. If Adidas was a superior brand, the #1 sports apparel brand w/ a reputation of producing winners, I would want us in that. They r not, & when it comes to American sports they r 2 decades behind. Their designs r from Nikeās old playbook; ****:
-Donovan Mitchellās new shoe drew āinspirationā from Gary Paytonās Glove shoe
-James Hardenās new silhouette thatās about to releases drew āinspirationā from Nike Comme De GarƧonās Air Foamposites.
If there r two brands that r constantly sued by Nike itās Adidas & Skechers b/c both brands r constantly coming behind like sloppy seconds. With that said, to Adidas credit, they do have some great OG designs, & truthfully Kanye allowed them to think outside the box (which is y heās been ranting against them stealing his designs w/o pay, while Adidas says anything he designed under contract is theirs to use at their discretion).
Regardless, the reviews of the new show the team/public will be getting are great, so at least while weāre under this albatross of a contract (which I will be highlighting as soon as Iām done working out), the fans can be satisfied w both this model & the Gazelles which I thought Adidas did a good job on.
