Much of his work with defensive alignments and personnel reads a lot like the Pittsburgh Steelers who have been using primarily only 2 DL with their hands in the dirt and 2 OLB’s to set the edge. The Steelers have done this for over 20 years going back to Greg Lloyd and Kevin Greene, to James Harrison and now with TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith.

Between Dorito, Manny Diaz and Gattis, we’ve had a ton of coordinators that ***** the team before the ball is snapped due to alignment

If you go back to things that Cribby and others have said, there were coaches on the staff who got tired of grinding by mid-season. Steele seems like the most tired of the bunch.

I was tired by week 4 as a fan so I get it but makes sense why the hire is young compared to Steele or strong
