Most of the Texas recruits are going to A&M, TCU, or Baylor. In all honesty, Charlie Strong is doing great by leaving the state and going to Florida where he has developed relationships and has people he trusts.

He has one kid currently in the class from Florida. Even if a couple more end up there, I don't think anyone in Texas is going to be mad about the number of spots given to Florida kids...they're probably madder about the product that program has put on the field the last few seasons relative to that of the other Texas schools, Oklahoma, LSU, etc.
 
Have Florida kids been mad the last 25 years when their college staffs cherry picked top Texas kids? It will be interesting to see what a solid coach can do at Texas with a solid Texas roster and pulling good kids from Florida to supplement it.
 
Always been a fan of Cherry even if he is on the smaller end of height for a LBer. Murders RBs as people have said in this thread. I know he has visited here before. Let's see what happens. Would love to bring him in with Perry. We need to continue to build at LB.

Thats if Clarington even gets in at all. Staff cooled on him cause he wasn't even going to get in here. If he had the grades, he would have a commitable offer to the Canes and most likely be committed. Let alone, lot of people here including myself think Clarington upside is on defense more than it is at TE. He doesn't even play offense for Booker T.

Man, the opportunity is there for early PT for Cherry next year man.

Just checked. He wound up at prep instead of UGA, one of the top prep receivers for 2015.

Why aren't we after him? So Fla kid, we seem to be jonesing for tall receivers, good enough for the SEC...what's not to like?

I have no idea man. I know he's visited here before. Staying in state definitely always plays a factor. But I have no idea how legitimately interested he is for Miami.
