New Barry Jackson Piece Shows We’re Fvcked

I know that because the article doesn't say heads are rolling down Alhambra some of you will be ****ed, and you should be, but based on that article, I don't see Diaz making it out of next season.

As for Blake, it's pretty clear he's the guy who is most responsible for this mess. I've learned that everyone's job is safe right up until the moment they're fired. If UM has to buyout the coach he hired in one hour, he'll get canned too.

somebody should tell the BOT guys that B.Jackson is talking to that the fan base is very close to changing from Anger to apathy which is far more dangerous..... the BS about James made me retch........ awful contract with CMD
what is James going to do when we lose to Temple...... praying we do not play UCF or FAU double digit loss easy.....

Real talk it says some of the BOT were not happy with him. And while raising money and getting awards is good. UM football brand is very important and you get the impression that some think the imagine of the brand is hurting with the bling, dancing and 6-6 record plus outdated scheme.

Article was good news for realists. Manny is gone next year with another 6-6, 7-5 record. Everyone knows offense must change and everyone is saying spread is the answer.

I know we've all lost faith in Manny but i cant believe hes that dumb that he wouldnt 1. fire Enos and hire a spread guy or 2. force Enos to change his offense dramatically. No way he is that stupid to trot out the same offense next year. #2 would still be a fail cause Enos is a straight up bad gameday OC/playcaller but then Manny goes bye bye.

Just have to hope he doesnt luck into an 8-4 type season and get a third year. Coastal champs, 10 wins, ACC champ game vs clemson should be minimum expectation

Take some of Strawley’s money when you kick her to the curb to hire Alonzo and I am even happier than just having Alonzo back on board. Granted I don’t want Blake, but if they are happy with him, this is the next best alternative on those that Manny reports to.

One of the most depressing reads I’ve ever put myself through.

Flake James continues to demonstrate that he’s a giant pvssy.

It sounds like UM’s President doesn’t give a fvck about sports.

And half the BOT doesn’t care at all about what’s going on.

Gentleman, things are only going to get worse.

With all respect, and I haven’t read any posts in here yet, but I disagree that we’re fûcked. I think this is positive. You have a BOT Member saying Manny won’t survive another year like this, that Blake needs to force changes (which he won’t) and that Blake got suckered into cancelling a national search to scoop up Manny when Manny would’ve jumped from Temple after the search. And they also think the bling and dancing when we are 6-6 is stupid.

How is this a bad thing? There was no way they were canning him after 1 year, even if we know he sucks and they know he sucks.

Bringing in Alonzo Highsmith to evaluate everything would be genius. Would avoid (hopefully) the buddy system and nepotism amongst our coaching staffs and legitimately bring in the best guys for the job. He could evaluate systems and schemes and offseason programs and bye week prep, etc.

If there’s one guy out there that care for the U and would do what he can to make us relevant again it would be Highsmith.

The Blake James part makes this very negative.

Manny isn’t the problem yet we’re still talking about manny.
Agree in part and disagree in part.

Agree that Blake sucks. Disagree that (a) firing Blake but keeping manny or (b) firing manny and letting Blake make the next hire, would be a wise decision.

I’ll pose this hypothetical: if Highsmith were hired as head of football operations (including hiring coaches, etc), would we still be calling for Blake’s head? I think the answer - at least as far as it relates to football and this message board - is no.

If the BOT is happy with graduation rates and whatnot but willing to pay a football guy to run that department, I see that as a win.

Miami's administration doesn't give two shíts about the Football program.

That's why we get so little of the funds allocated & why we keep being a perpetually losing team.

Until the Mangina Flake James & the Funeral home director Julio Frenk are gone, we're not going to be anything more than a bottom barrel ACC team.

It doesn't matter if Diaz gets fired next year because Flake will be hiring the next the coach & he's going to get it wrong because he's a human fúck stick & doesn't deserve the job he has.

I think another year like this he gets fired but I wont say you are wrong.

It comes down to the buyout. Look at how much FSU fans had to rally to get Willie gone before the end of year 2! Do you see our fans raising $17 million dollars within the next year? I sure don’t.

"Several trustees were upset that James hired Diaz the day Mark Richt retired Dec. 30 instead of conducting a national search, according to both sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly about athletic department issues. "
