Football Operations is usually in charge of overseeing scheduling planes for away games, locking the practice field at night, ordering equipment, chartering buses for travel to the stadium, parking passes for assistant coaches, reordering toner and paper from Staples, hiring and firing ticket office managers, etc.

funny, but it is more involved. such as equipment coordination, setting up the locker rooms and the team's sideline presence, equipment and personnel. transporting the team, equipment and personnel. it is an operations job managing a lot of systems and people. back office stuff.

Lots of infighting over a hire/position that will have little to no impact on the Ws and Ls. Not something worth losing sleep over.
