Never really in doubt but confirmed by CMR on Joe Rose show

He said the suspension set Kosi back. If Kosi handles his business right, he would have been the starter day 1. You can tel Richt knows Kosi is the better talent but didn’t trust him. I’m glad Kosi has decided to step up and handle this like a job and run with it now.0

Could be true, shows Richt is a man of his conviction and hopefully this will be helpful to Kosi moving forward.

I saw rewatching game when we got the turnover before the half and DeeJay ran before the field goal, Perry went to Richt and put his arm around him. Looked like he said good call and Richt shook his hand. It seemed like a moment of trust and confidence between them and seems Perry has made tremendous strides in a very short time.

Sounds like this had already been in the makings. And to think people were writing Perry off

People were writing Richt off. I saw posters on here saying Richt and Rosier were “butt buddies”. But that’s what you get when people who don’t see anything between Saturdays try to make calls for the team.

So who does Richt call upon if Perry is injured/falters?

Does he go back to Rosier? Does he throw in Weldon? Williams almost certainly not.

Maybe Feagles takes the snaps, I mean why not.

He'll go back to Rosier. As much as he has struggled it's always good to have a backup with the experience of Rosier.

He will have to put all the trust in the world in him on Saturday. After watching that UL/FSU game it will be tough to run against that 3-4 Defense they got over there.

But they are unbelievably horrible against the pass (especially the middle of the field. Was wide open and the UL QB just couldn't hit it.). If they were playing a team with a decent QB they would have been blown out. This has to be Perry's coming out party.

I’m not going to say it’s good Richt waited but I would hate to be in the situation that Clemson is in.

Yeah, FSU looked terrible defending the pass. Pass, the UL QB, had his best passing day of the year against FSU, and racked up a bunch of yards, despite being inaccurate and a poor decision maker. If the OL has even just a decent day, and the coaches call plays that get the ball out of Perry's hand quickly, Perry could have a big day.

He must continue to work on reading defenses. It's the next step in his evolution and the weakest part of his game.

right...Richt had to be careful in handling this situation, especially with young recruits watching. Coach gets an A++ from me, he's doing a great job.
