They were telling kids that Miami knew what its punishment was going to be, what the major sanctions were, but were hiding it until NSD. The Arkansas, North Carolina, and even Ohio State (trips/interest) were part of a kid looking around (Northrup) and Miami addressed it as "part of doing business" in college recruiting... However, Miami took the FSU (trip/interest) a little more personal due to the conversations that Miami had with Northrup (where he reported to them what FSU was telling him).
