Need Chaney and Citizen to have a big season.

I agree, but you can’t leave Thad out when referencing a big powerful back. I think the new coaching staff benefits Thad and I think he’s going to eat in Gattis’s offense with Mario and Maribol being so hands on with the offensive line. If he’s healthy, you can’t leave him out of the equation. Imo
I want to see it too, trust. But the really good ones make it look easy in the open field. Thad seems to find that one pebble in the grass and trip over it. Point is, if he could just keep his feet up, he could be that guy

I agree with you. I’m friends with Ryan McNeil and he told me Rumph said Thad has straight up hit a reset button since the new coaching staff has been in place. He sees it as a business now and it’s been obvious in his attitude and willingness to be coached up.

Parrish will be the starter. Parrish put up big numbers in the SEC, and he has shown that he can produce And stay healthy. Chaney, Rooster, Thad and Citizen have all shown flashes and will all get their chances to contribute in a major way, but I would be shocked if Parrish isn’t the starter from Day 1

I'd say we got the best stable of backs in the country. With the new OC, offensive scheme, additions and OL Coaches (Mario and Mirabal) the running game will be the most improved aspect of our offense. WR and TE will eat better because of the running game improvements.
WHAT.........ok please give me what you have been drinking

Chaney hasn't just shown flashes...he's been legit...unfortunately for him....the best ability is availability

Parrish is tremendously hard worker in the Restrepo mold , he’s multifaceted and will get his share of PT .
Your not given the ball inside the 5 twice in spring game unless you can’t punch it in and Parrish did twice.
Rooster is the starter with Thad , we will se combinations of backfields every game a tremendous plus .

One thing I do know is they will Put Rooster and Parrish in the same backfield at times early.

One tackler or hit will not bring Parrish down a little issue Rooster has but has been work with Parrish to fix.

The more I type here the more the possible it just may happen.

Parrish is a dude who will hit you first to let you know this is my game.

As season wears on yep it just might be.

Parrish has a better chance of being RB1 than Don imo, at least to open. Now whether that sticks as the season progresses, who knows…I could make a case for significant PT concerning every back we have in the five-deep.

Thad will definitely get some looks late in games, he’s just a tough dude to tackle. He may not have that quick burst or elite speed,, but he’s the perfect back to barrel forward and grab you an easy 3-4 when you need it.

If Don is 100% Don will start and everyone else will mix in. Don is/was on another level. It was clear as day against Bama as well.

Really hope this time off healed his shoulders and his knee is ok.

If not it will be another what could have been because Citizen going forward will be spectacular to watch.

Love the depth we have at RB.

Deepest its been since the early 2000s

…I mean I have no problems with any argument concerning Don being RB1, but 7 for 23 with a long of 6 yards ain’t clear as day.

I’m not saying you in particular, but a majority of posters here put Don on some pedestal that he definitely doesn’t belong on…is he a good back with fantastic upside? Sure, won’t argue that; but he’s not clear RB1, especially with how brittle he’s been. Given Parrish’s experience in the best conference in College Football + crispness in regards to route-running in the passing game, I think he has the edge.

Agree on injury prone but looking back at that Oklahoma State bowl game easily the most dynamic player on the field.

It's a good problem to have. Perhaps I'm bias.

Citizen running behind this OL in 2024 is going to be amazing to watch.

What a nice problem 🙌., good points here.

One of the very impressive traits they all have is they inspire each other with a sprinkle of you better stay on your game cause I’ll take your spot.

I can’t imagine opposing D start of 4th quarter and we’re platooning these guys pounding the rock .

Citizen is the one that intrigues me the most, quietly he could be the gem .

I guess since he was a favorable lean to Miami in the recruiting process his WOW was less publicized do to Miami.

To help me in this what back does Citizen resemble from past Cane RB?

No alcohol needed. 45 years of football experience playing, watching and coaching. My reasons for improvement just as listed above. If you oppose then articulate your reasons. Show me why you believe I am under the influence. We're waiting.
