ND-Wake Cancelled

What is the conspiracy theory, you idiot?

Notre Dame did not want to play one more game than Clemson had to play.

This isn't rocket science. It's just selfish self-preservation on Notre Dame's part. Not a "delusion" or a "conspiracy theory", just a pvssy move by Notre Dame.
Not a conspiracy on ND. Why is Clemson not filling their open date that was open for weeks? Crickets. Blaming ND when Clemson's open date wasn't filled. Why those MF's get a pass? No conspiracy on Miami. The ACC knows Clemson and ND are going to play for the title. Throw the hate where it belongs with the ACC Commissioner. They set it up so those two teams would have an open date before the title game. No team is dropping a game without the Commissioner's say so. Blame him.

Still not seeing the conspiracy. The ACC gave us a game for this week because Wake couldn't play. Where in the world do you see a conspiracy here?

Would it be thought of differently if ND had joined our league? I'd bet that negotiations are going on. Hate to admit it would add revenue to the league and it will happen sometime in the future. Can anyone imagine the revenue if an improved Miami and ND were scheduled every year like us and fsu.

Not surprised. This season, even more than normal, is all about the money for conferences and TV partners, so it woiuld make sense for the ACC to protect their golden egg. UM chances were slim to none as it was, why in their risk injuries or an upset for ND? Was Probably their thinking
Also, Clemson vs ND would probably do way better than Clemson vs UM, so here we are

I don't. There isn't one. That's the point. Everyone jumping on ND because they're ND and that's what Canes fans do, but it's the Commissioner that set it up that ND and Clemson are off. Otherwise, he would have filled Clemson's open date weeks ago.

Okay, so what does that have to do with your comment?

Guess y'all forgot we were supposed to play Wake this week and now we have Duke.

There is no need to revolt. The ACC achieved his goal over the weekend when ND beat UNC. We are lucky they are pretending and give us an additional game..

Enjoy it as I still think lot of bowl games will opt out.

Notre Dame can still get COVID the week of the 19th .

Then we should get a rematch against Clemson.

It’s probably too late at this point but Miami should play Notre Dame this weekend. Both our opponents canceled and it would show who belongs in the acccg.

pipe dream I know. They’d also probably beat the brakes off us but I’d rather have a chance then scoreboard watch a team we never got to play take our conference

It all started when they didn't have Miami play ND in the beginning... Who doesn't schedule the highest rated game probably in regular season football?
We all know about that one, what does us playing Duke this week instead of Wake have to do with it?

time to leave the Acc
I’m not opposed, but there’d potentially have to be a lot of shuffling between conferences I’d imagine. Don’t exactly trust our athletic department to do us any favors with scheduling if we were to go independent either.

I guess the only real possibilities, aside from creating a whole new conference, would either be joining the Big 12 or elevating the AAC to P5 status and shuffling teams in and out of it accordingly? Idk but the ACC is a joke at this point if they’re just gonna fellate ND like this even tho they’re still not officially an ACC school.
