Intention to avoid a sack. McKenzie tried to pull the ball in, probably to try and scramble. He would have been tackled quickly though, hopefully if you‘re ND.

I think the rule is bad. If the QB drops the ball with the intention to NOT throw, and he wasn’t hit, it should be a fumble.
