First, I hate ND as much as anyone, but how crazy would it be if ND makes the CFP and somehow manages to win the NC? While making the playoff is a definite possibility, beating 2 of GA/AL/Michigan/OK State/Cincinnati is unlikely, but that would make Freeman a NC head coach after only 2 games

But there was no need for desperation imo…they could have looked at fickle and others. I mean he’s only been at nd one year and has 4 years as a coordinator. That’s it
