I think a lot of people have already forgotten how bad Manny was to compare him to Freeman.

Dabo, Ryan Day and Kirby Smart were also inexperienced. So what your point. His fate will be determined by how well he evaluates talent in assistant coaches

Freeman has 4 years as a coordinator and only one year at the p5 level, he’s 35 and ND is a completely different beast than most jobs. Smart was a dc for 7 years under saban, day had several oc jobs and was also in the nfl. Dabo is your only decent example but he had been at Clemson for 5 years so at least that connection was there. Freeman has been at ND for less than a year
