ND Game Next Year

Except last year the problem was not losses; it was wins. Our lack of quality wins against ranked opponents and teams above .500 was the justification they used absent of H2H + common opponents.

To make it worse, we had one more win than Bama who lost to two teams worse than GT, who just went toe to toe with UGA.
Exactly

Our biggest issue/liability is being in this ****** conference that NO ONE respects

The ACC is an albatross around our neck
It does NOTHING for Miami
Bad officiating
Terrible teams
Non conference acc play is dog ****
There is nothing the acc does
That is beneficial to the University of Miami

They need to get out!!!

This is my biggest beef. Last year, it was about wins not losses. This year it is about losses not wins lmao. It’s getting ridiculous what’s going on rn. And UVA’s AD in the room ain’t doing shxt to help us.

Last year, GT went toe to toe with UGA & it was ignored. This szn; We beat UF/ND; and Bama lost to FSU. We beat FSU. Idk wtf there is to discuss lmao.
:roll-canes2:
They put 7-3 Texas above 8-2 Michigan but yet keep 8-2 Miami below 8-2 lmao. With Bama over us/byu/utah, it becomes about quality wins all of a sudden again :roll-canes2::roll-canes2:

Cancel that chit!

Marginal benefit to winning. Massive detriment to losing. Schedule a G5 or HBCU team like others and save the potential loss for the ACC!

They will adjust it to fit their agenda annually for great 8

And a FSU and UF dogcrap it doesnt help

We got nothing for
Trying to schedule big
nope, but I think teams that schedule traditional big schools shouldn't get knocked as bad for opponents being bad 7-10 years after deal and schools that schedule 4 out of conference cupcakes shouldn't be ranked preseason, I know that changing next year, but how was Penn state every ranked top 10, never scheduled anyone

Agree 💯

Miami lost 2 games to lesser ACC teams. Beating ND was not the problem.
Nobody thinks it’s the problem. We recognize that beating ND isn’t necessarily part of the solution. We ‘barely’ missed the playoffs last year because of a weak schedule, played and beat better teams this year and are looking to miss it again.

Texas losing to Ohio State also might cost them their playoff chances.

Bottom line - until we stop coaching so conservatively and scared and stop losing 2 games to inferior ACC opponents a year, we’ll continue to be in this position no matter what our OoC schedule is.

Miami should be running a train through the ACC and going undefeated in league play, or at WORST, 1 conference loss a year. 2 ACC losses is unacceptable.

We need to stop trying to rationalize the Louisville and SMU losses “tHeY sHoUlD bE rAnKeD! ThEY are gOoD teAmS gUYsM!” And face reality - the talent advantage Miami has over those teams is drastic. Mario continues to do what he does - lose to inferior teams in league play. We saw at Oregon and we continue to see it at Miami.

Blame Mario, not the schedule.

It’s not ND, it’s not Miami, it’s not the schedule, it’s not the ACC. The problem is Mario. He’s an above average recruiter and an inept HC. It’s true that the referee’s s@ck but they know that they can make bad/no calls against us because Mario won’t ever stand up to them/for his team. He’s scared to run up the score on teams and those are usually games we end up losing. He’s inept. He has absolutely zero time clock management skills. Did you see Narduzzi let up on GT? Heck no, and he and Brent Key are friends. We need a coach with the JJ mentality and that ain’t Mario. Get used to it cuz he ain’t going nowhere 🤪🤡😵‍💫

There are a lot more fun ways to prove you’re an idiot than what you’re doing right now, baby doll.

One of the teams has two top 15 losses. One of them has two losses to an unranked team at home and a now-barely top 25 team.

Answer the question I posed: if we had a win against a G5 team instead of ND right now, are we getting any at large consideration? There’s your answer on if we should play the game.

What happened to you?

We could just be like Pitt and not take the game seriously lol

Our offensive coaches already played this card for the Louisville- Stanford—SMU games

I’m not disagreeing that the Committee is biased and/or rigged

But our coaches put us in this situation, just like in 2024 when Mario let Guidry sabotage the season

Yall are being way too outcome dependent. The problem isn’t the wins, it’s the losses. It’s wild I have to explain this to grown men.
I agree. I'd say **** it, cancel all acc games and play a survivor series all season vs the top 10. Removes any chance of weirdo arguments.

If/when the committee screws us we should cancel this game.

Add another home game and play UCF.

Will curb stomp them, get credit for a P4 win, and they will pack the stadium making up for the payment to get out of the ND game.

No point in playing OOC heavyweight games any more. Just follow the Indiana model and schedule layups and try to make the conference title game.

We literally got zero benefit from beating ND and UFag other than the satisfaction of beating down a rival and ND has since rubbed it in our faces even though we won.
Nah, these are the games that make college football interesting and that recruits come TO programs to be part of. Plus there is nothing like consistently taking down overrated ND.
