NCAA Show Cause

If Miami is truly interested in Kelly, this becomes part of the due diligence, no different than with Butch being at UNC during the issue that went on there....

If I were involved in the decision, I'd obviously want to know more about both of these situations. If I got acceptable answers, I'd still hire either one of them...

There are risks everywhere in life...Sometimes the largest ones are conservative choices...

Straight up, whatever.

The show-cause expired. To me, and in practice, the point is moot.

The only material takeaway for an administration hiring Chip is: "Oh, okay, he played loose and fast with the rules. We should ask him why that won't happen again when we interview him."

This, "The NCAA will be more diligent in observing/pursuing Miami if we hire a coach with 'marks' on his record" is bull****. We're ******* Miami. If we sneeze in class, we'll get attention. Not to mention the NCAA is overwhelmingly incompetent anyway. Butch and Chip aren't going to make life any more difficult for us with the NCAA.
 
So Miami won't take him because of the "Shapiro Scandal", but USC will, right after wrapping up a 3 year 30 scholarship reduction penalty against them......

Sounds about right....
 
When u have retards like kevin on board u know this will be a bad hire, pr wise good but dont think he can win a title. Repeat win a title........ He wont lock down sfla as well. Butch would dominate and shut **** down and give me herman second.

I will admit that I've always had a very strong preference for defensive coaches....

Matter of fact, that's always been the side of the ball that I've liked watching the most at Miami - Wilfork, Lewis, Sapp, Brown, Barrow, etc......

Chip's show cause was minor. There are different levels of penalties. And on top of that its completely expired.

If people are really worried about Chip's show cause... because at this point the only negative that can come from a minor show cause that's already expired is the court of public opinion and Butch's offenses where much worse in the public eye. Much, much worse. He has players saying he knew about what was going on and he even admitted to telling his players that if they came to UNC for an education they came to the wrong place. Butch got fired for his.

If Miami would rule out Chip for this... all this Butch talk is nonsensical.

You are bending the truth here.

His minor show cause only followed him because he left the school. If he was still at Oregon he would not have had to quit coaching.

not sure what your gaining by trying to make this a big deal when it hails in comparison to what happened at UNC under butches watch.

Seriously dude you questioning my intelligence is about the funniest thing I have read on this board in some time.

Its been stated over and over again in the media that Chip's show cause is a non factor and its also been said over and over that the one problem people have with Butch to Miami is the stuff that went on at UNC and you call other people blind and dumb.

I'd sa they both are basically one and the same, Butch should have had a failure to monitor as well. Black Santa happened under his watch, was hired by him, etc.

We won five titles because of defense, and im just like u thats the side of the ball that gets rings. People that are new age fans want to drop 50 and give up 40 but when u play a bama u lose. Bama fsu osu lsu msu are winning with defense and people will shout no but they are. Chip cant handle good defenses its why hes failing in the nfl. Butch would have us dominant chip will have us wining and falling short and he woukd have to start from scratch to kno the area of miami with no connections. Recruits want butch everyone wants butch, he needs to be the coach and bring his savage defense and hof plagers from sfla and around the country.

If you're basing what you want on coaches or recruits, Botch trails Mario by a wide margin. Surely you didn't miss those two articles.

One coach got a show cause.

Other coach got a letter saying he's clear.

Dumb as dumb can be - and I'm supposedly the one bending the truth.

Seriously?

One suspended from coaching for 18 months, got an NCAA Show Cause.

Other got a letter from NCAA saying he was not involved.


Logic has no place in your life, does it?
