NCAA review of Facemask??

a glancing, accidental blow gets a kid kicked out of one of the biggest games this year. A opponent trying to literally rip our QB head off is a non issue. I literally do not understand football at this point.

Agree that seems far more violent than many of the targeting calls I e seen recently.

What happened to Rosier was criminal. That type of play should be an ejection more so than most of the targeting calls made.

Also, no need for a non-call of targeting on the field, then have the replay official(s) signal down that there was targeting on the play or any other "missed flags" for that matter..

That's what happened to Bandy. That has to stop. If it wasn't enough for an official to call it during the play, we don't need a ref in the replay booth throwing flags.

worst face mask I've ever seen that was ejection worthy

I agree. When I coached HS football a dude did the same thing to our QB and broke his collar bone.

That was a bunch of flagrant garbage yesterday. If a guy gets kicked out for a glancing helmet-to-helmet blow on a tackle, then they should kick a player out for flagrantly yanking the QB down by his facemask. It could've ended his season. (And no jokes, please, about how that would finally force a QB change).

Make no mistake. The people calling for this are not joking.

I was hoping that one of our OL would have at least shoved the **** guy after that play.
I really thought Donaldson was going smash that little ****. Actually give him props for keeping his cool. He probably would have been shown the door, while Toledo's player just gets a 15 yard penalty.

I mostly agree with you, and for the most part all targeting calls are people trying to unsuccessfully make football plays during the game. This guy grabbed Malik’s facemask and didn’t let go, like didn’t even think about letting go. That goes beyond football for me.

He didn't let go, and I'm honestly not sure why people do. Isn't it 15 yds either way? The fact that there's one penalty whether you let go or rip the guy's helmet off sort of incentivized going all the way with it.

I thought the same thing when he came running over there.

I was watching the Ohio State game and there was a minor face mask on an OSU player. The announcers were astonished and happily satisfied when the ref threw the flag. Yet Malik’s head was realigned and the announcers didn’t even notice.

Sooooo is someone going to review Malik almost getting decapitated on that one face mask during the Toledo game? I feel I’m one of the more rational fans, but I think the guy was trying to kill Malik. No joke. 1 game suspension or something???
I think that was with malicious intent.

I don’t even **** with Malik like that but I’d beat that dudes *** for even trying to harm a hurricanes player like that
