If the NCAA tells these conferences they can’t play, it could happen. If not then you’re probably right. Not happening, RVA.

They will, but it will just be for those already in. So, they are not just going to give everyone 30 extra scholarships. Then, as each of the eligible players leaves, it will slowly revert to 85 at a time. The key is if they raise the 85 scholarship cap. If they don't, the teams not participating this year will have to push a lot of the SRs out or they wont be able to bring in much of a 2021 recruiting class.
Exactly. Not sure why ppl are saying this is a plot by the NCAA to pressure the 3 playing conferences to not play.Meh. Your conference doesn’t play or you don’t, you get another year. Sounds like what one would think would happen. I don’t see the real power 3 giving up millions in TV bucks due to that. They want to play if safe. Period.
Have a feeling next year coaches are going to deliver a ton of tough news to marginal contributors who've lived and died for their team. It's going to be awful.Obviously, if any players take advantage of this, it eats schollies for next year and could limit how many are taken for the 2021 class and may put limitations on any transfers - unless of course the NCAA adds to the 85.
It’s certainly a possibility. I hope not. An issue that may arise is will a starter from one team want or go to a loaded team and maybe have to ride the pine. Just one of a plethora of issues that may arise.Have a feeling next year coaches are going to deliver a ton of tough news to marginal contributors who've lived and died for their team. That's coach-speak for "We're following the rules for contact". ***wink wink***Miami football hasn’t considered Big 10 or Pac transfers yet
Head coach Manny Diaz stated the Miami football program has not considered any transfers following the cancelations by the Big 10 and Pac 12.caneswarning.com
