The NCAA extended their deal with ESPN to carry most of the NCAA Championships including the CWS. It had been widely expected that the NCAA would break out more the lucrative championships for individual sale, but they pulled a Swofford, and did a fairly friendly deal with ESPN during their exclusive negotiating window.
Does sound like some of the NCAA Baseball tournament will get time on ABC now: “while additional ABC exposure is also guaranteed within the overall softball and baseball championships.”

The NCAA has reached a milestone eight-year deal with ESPN that will cover 40 NCAA championships domestically – 21 women’s and 19 men’s events (not-including men’s basketball) – along with the international rights to the Division I men’s basketball tournament.
