Yah. It's not really the umpires. The opposing team just needs to challenge and then the umpires are left with no choice but to call the runner safe. They don't have discretion on the "neighborhood" play on a challenge.

When a game is close in the later innings, I expect to see a lot of teams challenging when the game is on the line.
