Saw this picture of ND in Manny Navarro's twitter and made a comment that he looks slimmer than at any time in the last 5 years here. The picture can be deceiving, but amirite? I live next the U and see a lot of players, but haven't seen him in person since last year. Anyone can confirm that he's slimmed down?

I hope so because our inside run game should improve with him at guard.

Yup. Big Vaughn looks good and is in the best shape he's been at UM. Him and Rivers are quite the duo at guard. Maulers.

When you actually look at our starting 5 on the line, it looks good on paper, looks like a all conference type of group

He’s a high character guy but Gaynor has no business on an NFL team. Don’t care how many starts he has. He gets mauled by the lesser ACC d lines too often.

We should also start seeing improvements in our D-line as well especially the 2nd string as they will be going up against the 1st team on a regular basis. 1st team D will have more competition due to the depth of the 2nd team O. Iron sharpening Iron.

Is Rivers as guard a function of getting our currently best 5 on the field at the same time, or does the staff now view him as a guard?

I thought we brought him in as a LT, but maybe I don't remember accurately.
