Natty Thread TCU vs. UGA

Love that it

i swear for CFB forum people really don’t know much about the sport lol TCU made the Natty with their back up lol
Technically true but it was the wrong decision. Duggan is better right now than Morris. But Morris has the higher ceiling. They don’t make the playoffs without Duggan starting

There is no doubt TCU has a good team, but perhaps they were a bit overhyped. Look at the Big 12's bowl record this year, 2-6, with one of those wins coming against Ole **** who lost 5 of their last 6, sorry Lane **** Gobblers.
I think Michigan came in sleep walking against TCU because no one gave the Frogs a chance in the media, and by the time they woke up it was too late.

and TCU had six wins by one score, including against Kansas, SMU, and Baylor. If one more bounce goes against them, no one is talking about TCU and the postseason.

yet they won12 reg season games and beat Michigan in the semis. i like these If this or that.

I saw a tweet that really said it best. Basically said the TCU run was awesome, it adds fuel to the 12 team playoff and hoping for a March Madness run. But in the end UGA basically beat an 8-4 team last night.

The worst part is TCU will gain nothing from it. If anything it might cost them some coaches that helped them overachieve a bit.

Outside of UGA I have not seen true success of a turnaround in less than three years. Have teams gone from winning 6 games to 10 sure but have they consistently stayed there? Saban did it and Harbaugh has done it and to do it the right way it takes time. I agree if we go 5-7 this year heads will roll we need to see at least a 3 game improvement but to sustain success at anything in life it takes time.

Uh, u literally just saw TCU in the Nat’l Championship game in 1 yr. Lol

I legit don’t have time to go through every team that I’ve posted multiple times to prove in yr 2 this meteoric change. I’ve done that so many times already.

I’m not saying they would just saying TcU gets their starter back shouldn’t be a big drop off in QB play

Did UGA just lessen the value of receivers and QB’s in college football? They basically ran an offense with a great Oline, great TE’s, great RB’s and a bunch of no-names at receiver and a 25 year old walk on at QB. If Mario watched the game I am confident he is thinking the same thing. We are also seeing how 7 years of great recruiting has turned UGA into a powerhouse.

Not the point. Do you think they will be back there again soon? I’m talking teams that consistently compete are not built over night or in 1-2 years. All of the best teams that sustain success take time.

I don’t think so. McConkey is certainly an outlier, but for the postseason they got Adonai Mitchell and Arian Smith back healthy for the first time all season. Those guys are big time WR talents. And look at the damage they both did vs Ohio State*.

Yes but they went undefeated without those guys. In the SEC. I still think receivers matter a lot, but what we saw last night and all season is a very, very balanced offense. Its not Air Raid. ****, it is pretty similar to what Michigan runs but with more talent at TE and RB.
What we saw is what Mario wants UM to be.

How’s that not the point when u just said besides UGA, no team have had a turn around in 2 yrs? Lol

And UGA is literally the least example. How about

Bama (2 yrs)
OSU under Tressel (2 yrs)
UF under Meyer (2 yrs)
UO under Mario (2 yrs)
USC under Riley (1 yr)
LSU under Saban (2 yrs)

Dude, I can go literally on & on. This archaic way of thinking that it takes 5 yrs to build a team is bull chit. 3 yrs, absolute tops.

I am a winner. Married poorly but I am a winner.

Would much rather first part of my name came true so let’s go Mario…!!

I agree but our players got pushed around by MTSU.

I once took a job and on day one I realized we may be in trouble here so I walked into the Presidents office and said what the heck why didn’t you tell me about these people reporting to me…

He laughed and said “thought you could figure it out and if I told you maybe you decline the job offer…good luck”. I laughed and told him I lied about the other offers during the interview.

I think we see improvement this year. We need to stack some classes to become a perennial power.

& Bama got pushed around at home by a 6-6 ULM team. Tressel lost to a 5-7 & 5-6 Wisconsin & PSU team.

Listen, I’m not in to excuses. The facts r the facts that good coaches r able to turn around their teams no later than yr 3, w/ a great majority doing it in yr 2. I’m talking I can go back to Bobby Bowden, Bear Bryant, Joe Pa data.

I’m very in tuned to this team; I’m not some casual fan on here. The talent was poor, & the coaching was equally as a poor. Don’t let the 5-7 record lay strictly on the players; there was a chit ton of head scratching, controllable coaching moments, as well.

You win. Saban went to 12 wins in 2 years wow. Urban I would say was almost year 1. We know the rest.
