2025 National High School Football 2025 Season

I remember in 2019 when SFA came into Traz Powell with Blake Corum who rushed for 155 yards and 4 tds-They obliterated Central 49-13.It was men vs boys-

Everything is cyclical-I remember when Byrnes HS from South Carolina was like the #1 team back then came into Lockhart to play STA -One of the greatest games I’ve ever seen STA won because Lamarcus Joyner took a punt return to the house-He was the best safety in the nation and was from Miami-That STA won the national championship they were loaded with Jake Rudock,Rashad Greene,James White,Gio Bernard ,Brandon Linder and others-

After Smith retired Rocco Cassulo got the job-Did really well but, STA went up to New Jersey to play Don Bosco and got beat but, supposedly some of the players trashed the hotel rooms and of course it didn’t sit well with the administrators-He was fired even though they said he stepped down-Jordan Scarlett was supposedly the instigator.

Also a lot of people praise George Smith but, I’ve heard stories about him that are not to flattering-He was a maniacal tyrant was one of the terms used to describe him.

Chino Hills have an excellent b-ball program (that’s where the Ball Brothers r from), but sucks/ed in football. I told her exactly where to move to, & it was right in Centinniel’s zone. He played last yr along Longstreet.

He was starting on JV, but got the call up to Varsity in the playoffs. Had a solid game vs. Mater Dei & it was close 4 a min, until Mater Dei did Mater Dei things.

I went to Massilon’s week 1 game on Friday. They lost in OT to hood *** Glenville from the east side of Cleveland. Massillon fans are **** near as annoying as are OSU fans, so I was rooting for the ‘Ville. They blocked 2 Massillon FGs within the last 2 mins of regulation and overtime. Ohio football ain’t what it once was, but you can’t tell that to Massillon folks. They’re stuck in the Paul Brown days down there. That’s where he made his name.

George Smith was the AD up until recently so he hired Rocco and Harriott. For whatever reason ppl didnt like Rocco as much.

TWAN RUSSELL of um fame is the ad and coach now with Harriot.

George Smith probably is the GOAT sfla hs football coach.

Its early in the szn teams get better an gel better. STA though will have the same bland offense because thats what they are lol.

A real sta team would never have chaminade run for **** near 400 yards on them with 3 backs go for over 100 each like last year.
 
Ended up staying up late and espn had the last hs game out of cali

it was Folsom vs Grant.

the qb that most impressed from the hs level of games is aw this weekend was this kid.
Never heard of him , never seen his rating till i just looked it up for this post. Yea....this is what a 5 star qb should look like to me.

Yea Folsom had a group of wrs as well atleast 4 of them that were labeled power 5 kids.

This is one of them i wouldnt mind us offering for next year.

Folsom is up North, home of one of the more notorious prisons. About 45 mins from Sac
 
That Lyons kid looked really f’ing good. Made all the other QBs on ESPN this weekend look like JV. Another game where complete lack of discipline really hurt that grant team. Just dumb penalties including picking up 2 before the game even started.

Don’t forget Ice Harris BTW, Walt Frazier Carol City, Don Soldinger Southridge, Mark Guandolo Chaminade and Otis Gray Dillard -

When Smith was coaching they wouldn’t allow 300+ yards on the ground you’re definitely right about that.

Alot of guys dont mention my guy Coach Zaccheo at Pace.

Folsom past 15 years has been legit, I would say top 2 public HS in NorCal.. They consistently produce solid QBs and some WRs, but @Rellyrell said it some time ago with DJ Johnson from Sac. That comp is kinda sketchy, Grant has been down last 10 years. Folsom will usually run thru their league and fall short in the playoffs. They have two away games the next couple of weeks that should be good test. Serra in San Mateo(Julian Edelman, Barry Bonds, and Tom Brady old HS) and Mission Viejo(Vance Spafford school)

gogeta - Im a bit out of the mix on Cali football as I moved back to Florida in 2022.

Folsom is in the Sacramento market, which has not been a historically strong market for high school football in California. That said, Folsom has been the main power program in that market for a decade plus. I wanna say they've won three state championships since California created their pseudo-post season playoff format. Folsom is known for high powered offenses.


You might remember Jake Browning; 4 star QB from Folsom, played at Washington, drafted by the Bengals (not sure if he's still in the league). He was the QB that put Folsom on the map by beating De La Salle at De La a handful a years ago.

during the game they stated Grant won states last year.

said grant lost some games early in the szn then turned it on end of the year and pushed through the playoffs.

With CAL n Stanford now in the acc i think we should offer some nor cal kids yearly that are easier pickings.

I liked we offered the Tofi ol kid and a few others...actually want us to land the dt from de la salle in the class.

But at qb that kid was head n shoulders the best i seen this week....BYU got a tseal there he is ready to go.

Yea i remember Browning. Their offense was souped up for sure.... They had a ton of wrs too...and it was definitely a structured offense.

Maybe we need to tap into that market even though sac nor cal football aint the best...but you would be battling cal,w ashingtons and byus of the world u can beat them out.
