Forgive me if this has already been discussed.

Is this guy really a top 2 option at safety??? A walk-on who's now on scholly is really outplaying
Carter, Crawford AND Bush?!?!
I have to go back and rewatch the game but I feel like it's always him and one of the other 3. Haven't seen as much of Dallas lately as much a would like either... Corn is starting, I like this move. Burns has excellent size and speed but seemingly no football skills. Crazy. (he might be a safety) It should be Corn, Gunter, Carter and Bush for at least 65% of the snaps. Crawford at the nickel. Don't think we have a dime package. Smh. I liked move to slide 37 to safety last week as well.

I like the kid. Plays hard plays tough.
But I get what you're asking about the staff's decision making process.

Why didn't he get more reps before season if this was the plan?

I feel like we are still shuffling players around to see what works. Especially at DB.
And we are about to be seven games in.

I know I know. It's still very early I the season

The first play I saw him try to make was when he threw his ineffective self at the GT RB and came running off the field holding his arm. He avoided contact the rest of the night. He's a backup safety at USF.

it looks like we run a prevent/ dime the entire game. I would like Burns at safety with his size and speed he could be a ball hawk

They seem to not know how to use personnel. On 3 and forever for GT you have Armbrister covering a rb? Armbrister is your best pass rusher this year, why not put 37 and a safety on the rb's and put some serious pressure on the qb.

No mistakes Al's pull string pre-recorded move against GT is to play the guys who "have seen it before," because remeber they have had soooo much success against it with the previous 2 300yd + 30 point and 45 point showings

He reminds Albortion and Dorito of themselves and their untalented overachiever teammates at ped state.

Fentress should be a ST ace, shouldn't be playing safety.

this, he is a head hunter and thats in, not logging 30 mins a game. i understand you think he deserves playing time but this is not high school or pee wee this is college. you need to win. you get paid millions of dollars to win. put your best players in. what funny is this is the first time he actully didnt sub alot with Fentress starting.

I suspect you'll see more Gunter at safety as we get back to playing teams that play spread and pass the ball.

Outside of him being a walk-on and disparaged for that reason, there's not much difference that I've seen between Fentress and Crawford. Carter is a better athlete but also hasnt done anything noteworthy.

True.. But that's the question... Is Fentress really outplaying them? If he is... then we have a problem. And by saying Crawford at the nickel I meant Antonio

its a never ending story about senior/leadership guys .... ***** play the best ******* players!
