N Perry

I’m 25 I definitely wasn’t grown at 19..**** barely grown now lmao..but I’ll say this, most 19 year olds know better then to do the **** Perry was doing. That’s nothing to do with coaching. But those actions do have affect on your play. The football gods or karma usually make it that especially at QB

tbh, perry didnt break the law, obviously didnt mess up academically. he was immature with his social media posts tho.

Perry was a dull tool in the shed, or so it was in 2018. Hopefully he got his stuff together and will be competing for the job in 2019.

I understand what you're saying and i respect it; but imma OG...a lot of younger guys/gals are just seeking attention and social media is their outlet. I agree with you in that as a QB for a football rich program anywhere you won't get much of a pass until you prove that you've matured and understand the situation. But you can also blame the Richts for not gathering each and every qb that commits for a long sitdown and explaining to them what it means and the responsibilities and codes of conduct of being a qb at Miami or any major university. Im not talking about the all incoming fresmen speech; pulled their azzes in your office/home for 4 hours and lay it all out. ****, get a former cane qb to break it all down, whatever it takes to get through. All kids were not raised with a solid foundation at home. Let's just be thankful it was nothing criminal and that he's making every effort to live up to the standards that are set.

Man, part of me is pulling for Perry because I think he has the most arm talent, but I don’t think he is a good representation of the TNM. I believe Manny is trying to create a team that is tough (mentality and physically). Martell fits this best. JMO

I'm curious what this is based on? What has Martell done in his career that shows he is tough mentally and physically? I have no problem with him if he truly earns the starting job and the coaches choose him. Just don't understand this weird assignment of legendary characteristics to a guy who has done absolutely nothing thus far in his career.

Exactly. Perry was a very physically talented but immature QB who came into a situation where he had no leadership, no mentorship, to guide him right and help him out. Will he emerge as a much more mature, complete player now that he has leadership and mentors around him? Maybe, maybe not. Remains to be seen. But writing him off at this point is absolutely ridiculous.

thats where i am w this. i hear a lot of this and wondering where it came from? is he talented? yes absolutely. can he win the job? absolutely. has he won the job yet? not based on his spring performance. can he improve? yes of course. the rest is just made up nonsense based on a netflix show where he clowned an ATM commit.

I mean get what your saying..but I’m sure the coaches..even the Richts had those talks with them..every program has those talks..now it’s about how the program enforces it’s policies

I agree for the most part as yes Perry has to own his actions. My point towards Richt was him creating a lack of motivation for Perry with his offense, lack of development from his son and clear favoritism of Rosier. Combine all of that stacked against Perry and it makes his ability to make foolish and dumb choices that much easier

Welcome to CIS, N'Kosi!

Obviously I have not seen him play in a game. This is base on articles and reports that have come out this off season. Also, his physical stature allows him to be more physical especially when escaping the pocket. His maturity level seems where it needs to be as well. I remember reading a article that stated Perry didn’t study film until his second year. We can’t have that from any player on the team let alone our QB.

I don’t even think Williams had a chance last year. Which is why I’m more inclined to see what he can do with a starting opportunity than Perry at this point

Gotta agree w Brock, wanna see what fatty can do.

It's no coincidence that so many QBs were acting out last year and getting suspended. They had nothing to look forward to in Richt's O. It HAD to be depressing.

Like Brometheus said, let the best QB win the race. It's a fresh start under Enos for everyone.

3 back ups, all suspended. One is a coincidence. Two is concerning. Three shows an out of control process and complete lack of leadership.

The starter completely regressed and lost what little mojo he had.

Room was a complete mess.

Enos ain’t having that.

Oh, so you were this grown ***, responsible 19yr old that didn't make bonehead moves back when. Amazing how m'fckers can call out someone else flaws but overlook their own behavior at 19

Glad it wasn’t no social media to tempt me into posting chick piping vids.

I’m still wild, just a **** of a lot more tactical and discreet.

He can have the job if he wants it more than the others. If that's the case, he'll put in the effort to take ownership.

Same for Martell, same for Williams.

A real QB should not need anyone to create motivation for him to succeed...he should have it within himself.

Totally agree, except that no part of me is pulling for Perry

There was plenty of talking, I’m sure. But there has to be respect and fear of god fire in the equation. It’s hard for everybody to just be laid back and keep these young guys in line.

If the head coach is laid back, he needs someone more authoritative in the mix. If he is authoritative, there needs to be someone more of a player’s coach. The best staffs seem to have a mix of personalities.

You can’t just be yelling though. You have to be authentic and command respect with the way you do things.

We don’t have all the details but it was obvious from what has been leaked that the offense lost respect for their coaches and it just unraveled.
