N Perry

Thread looks like a COINTELPRO op to discredit and disrupt the positive Kosi momentum.
The continuous tate slurping hit the 100 page threshold and created a polarizing effect.
Tateites are in panic mode and are pulling out the old FBI handbook.

What?? This justifies why he shouldnt play this season?? Why train and practice in the spring and fall? Do players not progress? Do coaches not coach? Effin fanbase full of morons and keyboard warriors!

Your right your knowledge and analysis is far more dependable than actual stats.

You might want to read up on what a moron actually is as well as a keyboard warriors and while your add it add to that list self righteous indignity. Have your lawyer on the ready because you might be surprised to see your ignorant *** being used as their star example.

The upgrade from Jon Richt handling day to day operations along with Mark Richt calling the same predictable plays that have worked for the last 30 years to Dan Enos is something to not overlook. Perry showed flashes of greatness last year which is hopeful while also showing flashes of just looking flat out terrible. The greatness is a reflection of his natural talent and the 4 star recruit we recruited him as with the awfulness being a reflection of the Richts and Perry's immaturity. Part of his immaturity could of stemmed from the Richts who could of mismanaged him with their laid back approach. Enos and Diaz appear to have more fire in them and their accountability which might be better suited for Perry along with some actual competition in Tate and Jarren. The Rosier "safety blanket" the Richts allowed likely was deflating to Perry as well. We should have the upmost confidence Enos a proven OC/QB Coach who is twice as old as Jon Richt will be able to utilize Perry to his fullest potential unlike the Richts who tried to fit Perry into their system with little coaching. No doubt Tate is talented and we just don't know enough about Jarren but don't count Perry out of this race one bit with actual resources at his hands.

Seriously dude can get better but its important not to sugar coat it just because you like him. Nkosi was worse than the worst QB in the country last year when he got the 4th Q. Seriously he may have turned into the worst QB in the history of D1 football when it got to the 4th Q. If he is our starter come next year we going to be the same team and no one has any proof other than they like the dude to say different.

I mean get what your saying..but I’m sure the coaches..even the Richts had those talks with them..every program has those talks..now it’s about how the program enforces it’s policies
I think were on the same page here, but remember 3 qbs were suspended at some point last season...something was wrong with that picture.

My concern with Perry was hearing that he had a hard time understanding Richt's playbook and some of the QB responsibilities were given to a lineman. That doesnt sound good as I would think Enos's book would be more information to digest, but if Perry wins the job that's great and he would have earned it.
Go Canes!

Cool story bro 🆒

Yea..you dealing with 18-19 year old kids..they was just very immature..now if you sum it up to miss evals in recruiting as far as personalities, ok. My point is once they are in your program they are given the tools to succeed. Through seminars etc. it’s like blaming NFL organizations for mistakes a young player makes off the field..once they leave the building it’s on the players to make good decisions

Exactly. Perry was a very physically talented but immature QB who came into a situation where he had no leadership, no mentorship, to guide him right and help him out. Will he emerge as a much more mature, complete player now that he has leadership and mentors around him? Maybe, maybe not. Remains to be seen. But writing him off at this point is absolutely ridiculous.
This. My rant: I have as yet to see a laid back coach, riding on the coattails of best QB available without much coaching effort, win anything, anywhere. We are blessed MR came here to coach his last couple of years, he was an upgrade over anything after BD left. Let’s be real though, he came down here not because the search was thoroughly vetted, the choice was biased and he fell into place. The baggage? He was coasting along to a stop, foot off the gas pedal. He wasn’t willing to to remove his tunnel vision glasses. Also, he brought along an abomination of a coach at the most crucial position on the team: QB Coach. This was akin to a daddy handing his zit-faced teen son the keys to his Lamborghini. I’m not even going to mention the out of touch offensive coaching staff he picked. The positive? He left us with a better image nationally, an IPF, and a yearning for better coaching. And, yes, Manny.

That being said, Manny/Enos and all other coaches have one key ingredient since BD: to demand more out of each player. They are doing this by providing leadership to young men who have just left their parents’ nest, and are soaking in what life offers. Yes, they are “Men” by description, but not by experience or maturity. NP’s and others’ transgressions on and off the field were 100% on the lack of leadership around them. This offseason bears witness to that.

Not to mention the kid had never studies film until he stepped on campus.....there was going to be a learning curve regardless of off the field ****.

You can make numbers say whatever you want them to. The fact is N'Kosi was not put in the best situation to succeed.

Take the Duke game for example when he was thrown in the game in the 4th qtr in a rainstorm and expected to bring the team back. Or how bout Wisconsin after Malik completely crapped the bed and the team had no momentum and confidence, N'kosi gets thrown out there in the 4th qtr and expected to make a miracle happen. Those two games alone would skew your 4th qtr stat.

But if you look at the games when N'kosi was the QB who took most of if not all the snaps (FIU, UNC, FSU, GT, VT, Pitt)
W/L: 5-1
TD/INT: 10/2

This is an important clue as to why Perry might not be able to take pressure. Our great QB's performed best late in close games. There are great practice players and players who thrive with pressure, I am concerned Perry cannot handle pressure. Martel's high school team played lots of highly contested games and he performed a winner...not sure about Perry or Williams high school records or if they had highly contested games where they came through in the clutch. I remember a story about Bernie with us trailing and coach was going to give him a word of confidence, instead Bernie came to coach and said "isn't this fun" coach said nothing. Bernie went in and won the game and it was against the gator.
