The upgrade from Jon Richt handling day to day operations along with Mark Richt calling the same predictable plays that have worked for the last 30 years to Dan Enos is something to not overlook. Perry showed flashes of greatness last year which is hopeful while also showing flashes of just looking flat out terrible. The greatness is a reflection of his natural talent and the 4 star recruit we recruited him as with the awfulness being a reflection of the Richts and Perry's immaturity. Part of his immaturity could of stemmed from the Richts who could of mismanaged him with their laid back approach. Enos and Diaz appear to have more fire in them and their accountability which might be better suited for Perry along with some actual competition in Tate and Jarren. The Rosier "safety blanket" the Richts allowed likely was deflating to Perry as well. We should have the upmost confidence Enos a proven OC/QB Coach who is twice as old as Jon Richt will be able to utilize Perry to his fullest potential unlike the Richts who tried to fit Perry into their system with little coaching. No doubt Tate is talented and we just don't know enough about Jarren but don't count Perry out of this race one bit with actual resources at his hands.

It's no coincidence that so many QBs were acting out last year and getting suspended. They had nothing to look forward to in Richt's O. It HAD to be depressing.

Like Brometheus said, let the best QB win the race. It's a fresh start under Enos for everyone.

2 things.

1. Perry has no one to blame but himself for his immaturity. Not Richt's fault he's posting videos with wads of cash to his IG

2. Let the best **** QB win the race. That's it.

I agree for the most part as yes Perry has to own his actions. My point towards Richt was him creating a lack of motivation for Perry with his offense, lack of development from his son and clear favoritism of Rosier. Combine all of that stacked against Perry and it makes his ability to make foolish and dumb choices that much easier

look you cant have a 25 year old QB coach who wants to be his best friend and then expect discipline. weve seen it from all the QBs on the roster not just perry.

The immaturity was definitely his fault. But the on field stuff can be blamed on the Richts. We've seen many immature quarterbacks be productive on the field with good coaching and clowns off the field.

Bro Perry is a grown *** man. Richt didnt record him piping a girl nor did Richt take pictures of him with stacks of cash as a student. Richt probably didnt develop him correctly so you can blame that on him but nothing that has to do with responsibility should be put on a coach. Great coaches motivate you to do better but you need to be self motivated and focused enough to take it in. I hope he has matured.

REGARDLESSSSS as fans we should hope the job is given to the most deserving candidate and not just the one you like most

Oh, so you were this grown ***, responsible 19yr old that didn't make bonehead moves back when. Amazing how m'fckers can call out someone else flaws but overlook their own behavior at 19

I’m 25 I definitely wasn’t grown at 19..**** barely grown now lmao..but I’ll say this, most 19 year olds know better then to do the **** Perry was doing. That’s nothing to do with coaching. But those actions do have affect on your play. The football gods or karma usually make it that especially at QB

You literally made all that up. The only thing we do know is that Perry cant make lemon-aid out of lemons.

Very much on point. I'm not going to completely fault the Richts. Just as much falls on Perry. However, I think Perry has turned the corner with maturity and work ethic. We'll see if it translates to the field in better QB play.

Realistically, Perry had a shot and wasn't very good, Williams had a chance and lost out to Perry and Rosier, Martel is a transfer so is the OC handicapped in making a choice? I hope and pray that one of the three can garner enough wins to take heat off the new staff but ... Glad I'm not the one choosing...

Perry's stats by quarter. You can blame these on the scheme or coach or confidence all you want but #s dont lie.

Quarter Comp% Rating
1st Quarter 54.5% 108.04
2nd Quarter 58.7% 135.79
3rd Quarter 52.4% 127.63
4th Quarter 33.3% 78.23

What?? This justifies why he shouldnt play this season?? Why train and practice in the spring and fall? Do players not progress? Do coaches not coach? Effin fanbase full of morons and keyboard warriors!

I believe Tate is the most talented guy there and really fits that TNM persona so in a vacuum I'd be pulling for him.

At the end of the day, though, whoever is balling is balling and that's who should start.

I don't care who the QB is as long as I see Ws

Man, part of me is pulling for Perry because I think he has the most arm talent, but I don’t think he is a good representation of the TNM. I believe Manny is trying to create a team that is tough (mentality and physically). Martell fits this best. JMO

Honestly it's one of those things that we're gonna talk about forever but I really do trust Manny to make the right choice. I genuinely feel like this guy has a vision for us and I'm happy to be a part of the ride

I don’t even think Williams had a chance last year. Which is why I’m more inclined to see what he can do with a starting opportunity than Perry at this point
