2027 Myson Johnson-Cook 2027 RB

Let it play out until December, folks, and even beyond before we get our collective panties in a bunch. There are many factors that have to run their course before we should truly lament missing out on or even signing a kid.

For one, some of y'all are acting like if he chooses Awbarn today, he's signing a blood oath that will bind his soul to the grounds of Jordan-Hare Stadium for eternity. MJC could commit there today, sign here on ESD, go vice-versa, or say **** it and commit to FSU, because his actual life's dream is to be the greatest circus clown ever. NOTHING is FINAL until that LOI is in your office.

For two, NO KID IS A GUARANTEED HIT. MJC is the latest physical freak in the football recruiting Zeitgeist. Certainly not the first, certainly won't be the last. Let's be honest, more of these cats underwhelm than those that meet or exceed the hype. Many things have to line up intrinsically and extrinsically for the latter to be the case, so there's really no need for losing your **** today over a guy who's never played a collegiate snap. Remember when we were doomed because C.J. Baxter and Nyck Harbor ain't wanna be Canes???

I said all of that to say this. Lotta menstruation goin' on in here, man...

Choosing Auburn is just nuts

Whatever the package is their offering enjoy 5-6 no playoff and mediocrity

Look at Miami’s OL, state of the program, type of offense and realize what you can do here with a program that has the ability to pay not just RBs

If he doesn’t choose Miami then more funds for us to secure Matthews and others
Agree. He must just want the 💰
Isn’t that always the biggest consideration? Can’t fault him for this

Not a problem at all. But he won't get the same upside with wearing the U as a brand, the coaching, etc.

How is it nuts? I mean, I get it, we’re Miami fans and auburn sucks but he’s probably getting a bigger bag and will start day 1.

In my mind, I’d hope this helps with Matthews. He’s the bigger fish. Love me a good running back, and this guy has some great measurables, but there are plenty.

Allocate more resources to get the lineman. We know how much that matters.
There ain’t no 220 plus pound rbs every cycle that run like this. These are usually the first off the board during the draft. These are the playoff running backs
Cj Donaldson is a perfect example of why I’m not worried about losing this kid.

He was talked about nonstop here and went to Ohio State and vanished.

ALL running backs are a dime a dozen if you can recognize talent. It’s the easiest position to fill needs.

And with our Oline we can always get the best RB in the portal every year if we wanted as well.

Huge miss again by Mario and Co. All that early momentum long gone - Another top 10-15 class - Disgusting. And stop with all this bull**** about wow Miami had 3 guys drafted in the first round - Zero excuses u lose this kid

Please with the zero excuses. He's going to be starting day one at Auburn, getting more money, and playing in the SEC. There you go and if we gets Keys it's NOT A HUGE MISS.

It has never changed in my 20 years of Miami recruiting. Fans get their feelings hurt and say dumb stuff, post after post because they are upset. This has always been recruiting, can you handled it or not? Their is a lot more then maybe 10 schools with a bag these days. For those that keep posting NIL is equal and money doesn't get kids, couldn't be more wrong as it always has been. Today you recruit to get in a final 4 or so and then 8 out of 10 go to the highest bid. Fact! Offers are not all equal at all. The top classes the past few years have been bought. The top 3 classes this year are being bought. I mean everyone's buying. I said, months ago, no chance Miami has the #1 class. They had #1 interest, but closing is 100% money today. No point in making things up and saying ignorant things because your feelings are hurt. Anger/hurt! Mario is the best recruiter, bar none in my opinion. Miami has a bigger budget this class and still won't be top 3. That is fine by me,mI know recruiting. We will have a great class and people will be ****ed and complaining. Forever on repeat!

So basically, if Auburn is willing to give him a bigger NIL contract than we are willing to do, what exactly is your complaint? If he sees a potential opportunity to see the field much earlier there than at Miami, how is our program or staff at fault?
Do you and some of the other clowns here in this thread panic and rage every time you don't get what you want in life? People like you guys never accomplish anything truly great in life because you quit and tantrum at the first moment of adversity.
The kid appears to be a good one, but he is not the only back in the country and there are others that will be great in college too. The same people in this thread that are saying ***** this kid if he wants to go to a crap program like Auburn over Miami were also saying that about Cici and Bain when they picked Miami over anyone else they wanted to when we were previously getting rolled by Mid Tenn and FIU and other garbage teams? Of course, then it was ok cause you were getting what you want.
Mario will pivot and figure this out. He has earned our patience and trust at this point. And in reality, this kid has not committed anywhere yet and let's see what happens today and then what happens by signing day. Go outside and enjoy your day and let the story play out as it will.
