I don’t think that’s what most peeps are insinuating. It’s more so the hyperbole of how this class, this year, is def finishing #1 yet we continue to fail in certain aspects that would deliver a #1 class, which is MULTIPLE 5 stars. It’s a similar song and dance every spring.

I didn’t see anyone in this post say it would only be one RB on the roster next season. Where was that posted? And I definitely didn’t say we wouldn’t be alright at RB next season because even if we lose 2 to transfer we still will have the depth.

On top of any freshman we bring in! I would expect 2 minimum to be gone next season not including fletcher.

I didn’t think all of them would stick around this season, and look what happened. And this is with a definite alpha of the room back. If Pringle, just as an example, came back for his sophomore year knowing Fletcher is still here, why wouldn’t he for his junior year knowing Fletcher is gone?

Lot of dominoes to fall. Compiling a quality roster is literally the least of my concerns with Mario. How much more evidence do you guys need? He got here and we got blown off the field by Middle Tennessee State. That’s the roster we had. Now we’re here. We’ll have a very good RB room in 2027. I’m 0% concerned about that. MJC, or not.

If MJC committing elsewhere actually meant we'd see some more Malicat in 2027 (not 30%, but maybe 6-8 snaps a game), that might make this loss a net gain.

In my mind, I’d hope this helps with Matthews. He’s the bigger fish. Love me a good running back, and this guy has some great measurables, but there are plenty.

Allocate more resources to get the lineman. We know how much that matters.

It’s absolutely a miss. And it won’t be the last one. We offer, what? 100 kids? And we sign 25ish. That’s 75 misses.

What we pay Mario for is to find the best 25 you can to be able to push Notre Dame, and Ohio State, and UiF, and Texas A&M, up and down football fields. I’m fully confident he’ll do just that. And that’s all while “missing” on dozens and dozens of kids.

Stop it. You know **** well all "offers" are not the sasame.Not all offers are clear takes. Not all offers have multiple visits. Not all offers have coaches fly out to see them before their commitment date. Not all offers are the No. 1 player on the board at their position.

This is exactly the sort of recruitment Mario and the staff get paid to win. Nobody should expect them to win them all, but the equivocation about missing on "dozens and dozens" of kids is either disingenuous or raw copium. A staff that miss on dozens and dozens of top of the board recruits won't be a staff for long.

If he goes to Auburn then LOL , Passing up on running behind what will be some of the best Olines in america to be irrelevant at Auburn is quite the decision. We'll be just fine with how we're recruiting and evaluating under Mario now.
